Rolando grew up in south west Detroit, a primarily Hispanic district of the city, he was heavily influenced by his Latin cultural rhythms and percussion. Inspired from an early age by his musician father, he pursued his own interest in music and became well known and respected within the Latino community. It was later when he heard Jeff Mills in 1985 as "The Wizard" that he discovered the innovative sounds of Techno. Through a mutual friend he was introduced to Mike Banks and joined the enigmatic Underground Resistance in 1994.

In 1999 'Jaguar' although not Rolando's first release on UR turned perceptions of Techno on their head, breaking into other genres of dance music and becoming an all time classic in the boxes of DJs such as Tenaglia, Carl Cox, Oakenfold, and Gilles Peterson. The track has a long legacy of reworking and lives on to this day many years later inspiring audiences from all genres.

In November 2004, Rolando left both Underground Resistance and his Los Hermanos project behind.2014 saw Rolando  launch his own label R3 ( Roland Rocha Records) and has more or less exclusively released his own music on his label since. Rolando now a Dj for more than thirty –five years continues to work internationally as a Dj , producer and Remixer  with an eclectic clientele such as Marcel Dettman, Kraftwerk, D’Julz, Ben Sims, Skudge, A Sagittariun. Rolando continues to hold his residency 2006)  at Berlin club Berghain.

On May 10th, we had arranged something truly special: a rare reunion from Art Department, Jonny and Kenny back under the original banner. The day before the show, though, we got word that Jonny tested positive for COVID and would not be able to make it. To make matters worse, Kenny showed up feeling off himself—stomach problems, not doing great. For a moment, we were not sure whether the set would happen at all.

Then, after a quick pep talk (and maybe a little Johnnie Walker), Kenny decided to push through. He played the entire set from just one side of the DJ setup, leaving the other deck silent, like he was holding space for Jonny. Mid-set he passed us his phone to grab some content; somewhere between shots we pulled a South Park moment and killed Kenny’s phone, leaving him to play on, clock-free and carried by the night’s energy.

With no idea what time it was, Kenny kept the dance floor alive well past closing. It was one of the most memorable sets of the season—raw, alive, and full of heart. Kenny played for both of them, and everyone there felt it. Nights like that are why we do this. For the music, the people, and the magic you could never script.

Join Double Touch on a venture through their signature house sound on our latest Foxcast. 

Double Touch is a live electronic duo collaboration between Sydney/Los Angeles based Classical Pianist/Composer Van-Anh Nguyen and DJ/Drummer/Producer Mark Olsen. Despite their distinct individual careers, they blend their two worlds together to form a unique mix of acoustic melodies, percussion and electronic sounds. Ranging from ambient soundscapes to Organic/Latin/Afro House, Double Touch weave their musicianship, virtuosity and contagious energy into their live performances.

Double Touch are official All Day I Dream artists with multiple releases and performances at All Day I Dream events globally. Their shows are a unique blend of a traditional DJ set and live performance, adding live keys and drums, improvising and creating new directions in their music during their live sets. Foxcast 48: Double Touch (April 2025)

IMAN RIZKY was bred on house beats from the early '80s and '90s.  His relationship with dance music back then was a transcendental experience every weekend at places like New York City's Red Zone, the Tunnel, Limelight’s Disco 2000, the Sound Factory, and the legendary Twilo.  Iman became a promoter for the Tunnel, Limelight, and the Palladium during the club scene era of the late '80s.  His immersion in the heyday of club culture in NYC prompted the pursuit of his true life-long passion of DJing. With his extensive knowledge of dance music from both participation and promotion, he was able to cultivate a unique DJ sound to call his own.  As the club scene era wound down and the dance music scene went underground in the early 2000s, Iman formed the party production group, Ku-Deta, which put together events stateside as well as internationally.  

Ku-Deta provided a precursory template for ebb + flow music, an NYC-based production company that Iman Rizky founded with Gavin Stephenson in 2013.  The underground parties of ebb + flow music have brought consistent high quality music and an undeniably contagious vibe to the dance music scene.  As an ebb + flow resident, Iman's DJ sets are laden with minimal groovy beats layered with melodic sounds that build in a cycle of high peaks and low valleys.  He takes the crowd on a thrilling roller coaster ride of music that elevates the mind, moves the body, and satisfies the soul.  In the summer of 2014, Iman took ebb + flow to another level with collaboration on music production with Justin Marchacos and Gavin Stephenson.  The trio became Second Format and has been producing tracks with driving bass lines and catchy, danceable hooks.  Track releases are slated to come out early this year on Cityfox and beyond.

His constant motivation, desire to please and ability to bring people together to enjoy great music have made him one of the most respected and innovative DJs of today’s music scene.
