All over the world, dance floors are starting to open up again and it is precisely this desire, passion and anticipation of better times that “Four To The Floor 19” reflects.
FTTF19 starts with “https://soundcloud.com/volkanakaalp - Faith” a highly energetic track with a rhythmic gated choir-like synthesizer, a melodic acid lead and driving snare-rolls - exactly the right elements to unfold its potential on big stages.
Next comes “https://soundcloud.com/rafaelcerato - Remini” with driving real sounding string ostinatos that emblematically defy the otherwise large electronic orchestra in the song.
This is followed by “https://soundcloud.com/endoftwinsmusic - Lovers”, a song that captivates us with reduced elements, the right amount of tension and dreamy synthesizers and 80s sounding vocals.
The release is rounded off by “https://soundcloud.com/alex-medina & https://soundcloud.com/alejandrosd - Love Betrayed” - fragile breakbeats with an experimental approach with complex arpeggiators and moony vocals.

david hôhme - Bubbles & Bass Sunrise, Burning Man 2022

One of my favorite DJ sets at the Burn this year was on top of the Disco Space Shuttle art car on Thursday night from 11pm to 2 am. It was an incredible cosmic ride into Deep Playa. 

The soil condition was so bumpy that it created an unforgiving DJ desk surface to those of us who prefer not to play with the Sync button on. I could had gone that way but I decided to let the challenge seep through the mixes and allow for the experience to be recorded as raw and human as possible, full of flaws and the highlighted reality that the playa surface was still wrecked from the previous year's Renegade Burn, and a lack of rain on the playa which did not allow for the lake to form for as long as it normally does between Burns. The earth climate is changing, and the heat at the Burn this year was present for most of the 24hrs of each day. 

I hope you enjoy this eventful ride into Burning Man outer-space!

My first rave ever was at Robot Heart in NY. I still remember my best friend dragging me to it not knowing what to expect but I had such an incredible experience and met a community of people that I really connected with.

Fast forward to 2022 and my third time on the playa and it's amazing to see things come full circle. I'm playing on the Robot Heart bus during this beautiful sunset and not only that but I’m in front of the Black! Asé Art installation by the Black Burner Project, a group and project that truly speaks to my soul.

I was in my zone while playing as usual so I was not able to fully process everything until a few days later but once I did it truly hit me that this was a special moment in playa history that will live on forever in my heart.

I feel blessed to have been a part of it and cannot wait to do something special again with Robot Heart and the Black Burner Project in the future.

This marked my 10th year out on the blank canvas of creativity, known as the Playa.  It was unforgiving and magnificent and challenging and beautiful all at once. I tell myself every year, this may be my last, that the experience has pushed me to my limits of comfort, and patience.  But literally the second I get back to the default World,  I miss it dearly, and cannot wait to return. The last Come Down mix I made for Burning Man was 5 years ago, and with the explosion of energy and mega high vibes this year, I felt the calling to create another chill-out journey into sound. Think of this mix as your long Exodus back into reality.  Listen closely to the inspiring words of Larry Harvey sprinkled through out the set. This legendary man and his brilliant vision, which he so profoundly describes in his own poetically genius way, is the reason we all make the annual pilgrimage to this desolate barren land of LOVE. That feeling when you know something is about to end so you enjoy the most out of it? That’s what French DJ and producer Notre Dame delivers with YUMI. 
It’s that last track that’s playing when you look into your best friends eyes and think about the night you’ve just had together. It was heavily supported by Solomun throughout the summer.
Next to the title track we have „Story of My Life“ - dramatic, almost fragile, with a relentless kick at its center that’s encircled by a gentle arp.
And closing off the YUMI EP is „Atom“. Its suspense is building like a Kamikaze fighter approaching their target: slowly at first, but without mercy.

The heat, the white outs were really something else.  But we had a hell of a time.

Playing again on the bus was so much fun!  Damn we missed this vibe! 
We wanted to play for a real party without having in mind this was going to go online! 

So we did and it made sense after not sharing the dusty desert dance floor for two years.

The human body is the most highly engineered object in existence, a machine of uncountable parts and unfathomable function. Its workings have served as inspiration for all of humanity's greatest inventions. This work is an homage to the two most amazing mechanisms in that machine: the human eye and hand. The head is a 16 foot camera obscura demonstrating the ray optics principals underlying the spherical lensed eye humans posses and the hands are actuated mimicking the tendons and bones of the body. Together they represent what separates life from the rest of the universe, the ability to observe the world around us and manifest change in that world.

@klassifiedrecords proudly presents @nhiimusic’s new EP, "Gone Too Far"; An intensely deep and evolving musical journey, centred around the message of the self inflicted problems that humanity have caused to our planet. Nhii and @shyammusic teamed up for the first time to deliver a powerful, moving and at times, dark anthem which has been inspired by mother nature’s cries for help and the current repercussions of a world in which we must change to survive.

Remix duties are supplied by German native @nikoschwind as well as Israeli producer and self professed eternal smiler Jenia Tarsol. Schwind's cut drives forward with a melodic heartbeat and mesmerising vocals that drift across the length and breadth of the release. A melancholic message sits deep within the music, yet Schwind's version expertly exudes the right injection of emotion.

Next up drops @jenia-tarsol's adaption. Breakbeat undertones set the pace, hypnotic percussive elements filter through, a hybrid middle eastern-esque rhythm that pays hommage to Jenia's routes, but subtly housed in a more modern electronic aethetic. It's an early morning riser, a hands in the air moment, but more purposefully, a time for reflection about the footprint that we leave throughout life.
