Before you an extraordinary set created by the Persian duo Madota. Two very warm, funny and incredible beings we truly see as brothers. We met years ago at one of Mira's birthday parties. It was as random as it was funny to meet the tall characters somewhere in the maze of endless entertainment. 

There was always a desire to work with the two. Their sets and performances have this alluring energy. But some things take time and so did our collaboration.

This mix was created when Damian and Martin joined forces in a rare musically alternative back to back session when they met up in Tulum  after having played The Day of Dead in different cities around Mexico.

"As soon as I arrived onto the Playa I found myself running in the blazing heat from the gates, asking frantically for directions to a place I had never been to before, a loud spot in the vast expansive horizon known as Robot Heart. I couldn’t believe I was going to be late!
Yes, it’s true, I missed my slot, I arrived 1 hour after, but the magic of this moment really encapsulated and introduced the whole Burning Man experience for me with many new friends trying their best to me to get there on time - it was priceless and unforgettable. 
Once there, Benjamin said “Frankie, you're late, what happened?” to which I replied “Mate, I’m Italian, I’m actually right on time!”

Few people know, 15 hours before arriving, I was stranded in Las Vegas with Julien and Claudia, with no ride to Black Rock City. Claudia said: "let’s try to call Ole and Finn, they have a badass RV, they can give us easily a ride!” The two Norwegian guys were still in Vegas and once they picked us up the “Get Frankie on the Bus” mission started. We played music on the road, shared the dark and the bright sides of spinning records, saw ghost cities, our GPS died, and we watched the dazzling stars in the beautiful night sky of the desert. I can say it out loud, what an unbelievable adventure and what an unbelievable beginning.

Here I am after that wild road trip, playing tracks I've been carrying since I started playing over a decade ago, finally landing where I was supposed to be, always looking for the next adventure.

Thanks to all the people who danced that morning, thanks to Robot Heart, thanks to my wife Alessandra and my family, thanks to the badass RV, thanks to Nico and Timur for helping to make it happen, thanks to David and Anna for their support, and of course, a big thank you to everyone I met on the Playa."

For many years we travelled to this magical thing called Burning Man. Looking back to our first year out there, we never realised that this event, simply "a festival" to the outside world, would change us forever. 

The community ethos that you find at Burning Man is best understood by its Ten Principles. And once we left the playa for the first time we would long for radical inclusion, communal effort or the fact that people would leave no trace wherever we'd go. 

Our Gardens journey is born in Amsterdam and raised on the playa. Forever grateful are we to what we have learned and experienced while being out there. This year we finally knew what we would like to give to the playa.

Together with our family we created a Monday Landing Ceremony at Camp Bang Bang. And like our other events we started this day with a powerful meditation.
We created this meditation to allow people to arrive at the event. To take a moment to get to know the people and the energy around us. To disconnect from the outside world and enter this magical world we call home. It was a beautiful moment for anybody on the playa to set intentions for the week and take time to realise where we and who we are.

There is no Gardens without the incredible sounds from our favourite artists. Before you the M I N D B L O W I N G set by P & Christian Voldstad. We worked with both artists separately and never experienced their incredible connection in real person. 

Take a trip down memory lane and wander of to the dusty field of Burning Man. The man burns in 352 days, but who's counting?

Unsere Nr. 134 kommt heute von einem amerikanischen Künstler, der mich seit 3 Jahren ununterbrochen musikalisch begleitet. Ich erinnere mich noch sehr gut an seine damalige Bunring Man Aufnahme… Sie haute mich schlichtweg um. Seitdem komme ich nicht mehr um Ihn herum. 

Die Rede ist von „Atish“, einem ehrlichen und unkomplizierten Künstler, der keinen geradlinigen Weg ging. Anfangs noch Programmierer für Facebook, entschied er sich vor knapp 10 Jahren selber Musik zu mixen, wie seine unzähligen Mixe belegen. Anders als viele andere Künstler, die gerne ihre so genannte ‚peinliche‘ Anfangszeit verheimlichen möchten, sind bei Ihm tatsächlich noch alle Mixe zum Anhören verfügbar. Dass er damals wie heute seinem Sound gleich geblieben ist, spricht umso mehr für diesen sympathischen Menschen. 

Sein Coming Out hatte er 2012, als er auf dem Robot Heart art-car spielte. Seitdem ging es steil bergauf. Tokio, New York, Istanbul, Berlin,…um nur einige Stationen seines vollgepackten Kalenders zu nennen.

Aber auch in seiner Wahlstadt San Francisco treibt er weiterhin sein Unwesen. Und wie!!! Neben dem etwas anderen Clubformat mit dem Namen ‚Late night tonight!‘, einer Mischung aus Talk-Show und Club Party, gründete er auch das Label ‚Manjumasi‘. 
Und wäre dies nicht schon genug, feilt er in jeder freien Minute an kommenden Releases und Remixen. Tendenz steigend. Sowohl in Qualität, als auch in Quantität. Wir sind gespannt.

Das von Ihm eingespielte Set ist eine herrlich ‚afterhoureske‘ Reise ins Dickicht der melodischen und verträumten elektronischen Musik. Das sich Atish für dieses Set etwas ganz besonderes einfallen lassen hat ist unüberhörbar. Ich war beim ersten Hören des Sets tatsächlich komplett geflasht, hatte ich doch etwas anderes erwartet. Aber diese Überraschungsmomente, die unsere Reihe und die jeweiligen musikalischen Interpretationen immer wieder mit sich bringen, hauen mich, nein uns, immer wieder um. Darauf darf man auch ein wenig Stolz sein. Vor allem wenn man am Ende ein ganz außergewöhnliches Set erhält. So auch hier. Schnallt euch an… Ich kann mich nur wiederholen, aber es erwartet euch eine Reise durch verspielte, sehr deepe und hypnothische Felder, wie gemacht für eine tanzbare Afterhour sind. Das gabs bei uns schon lange nicht mehr….seid gespannt.

Hello everyone, I'm Francesco Mami,
Special greetings to my family and friends with a capital F.
I would like to dedicate this set to all the artists who struggle every day to support themselves through making art. 
Also, to those who juggle two jobs and do not sleep at night trying to fix that snare drum that still ends up sounding like garbage.
Last but not least, I would like to dedicate it to those who have no choice but to keep up appearances on social media when times are tough; to those who make music without the intention of throwing it in your face and those yet to be born.
Witnessing the sunrise above me while playing from Robot Heart Bus, filled me with honour and the sensation that this was the end of the Frankie that we all knew and the beginning of the man I have always aspired to be.
