Words can't describe yet another sunrise of epic proportions this time at the C.A.M.P. (Calling all Magical People) co-created gathering. Right at the beginning of my DJ set at 4:30 am on July 4th (US Independence Day) the cops showed up to try to shut the party down due to noise complaints.

I had the difficult task of keeping the decibel levels under a certain threshold, so I had to nurture a huge dance floor for the closing set of the festival until 7am somewhat quietly until we were able to ramp up the volume to proper dance floor levels.

I am not sure if it was that we all wanted this so badly, or the majestic rays of sunshine coming down upon us, all I know is that 17 encore songs & tracks after the supposedly closing "Lovely Day" song, we kept raving and raging until we almost dropped.

One of the most memorable mornings in my 21 years of DJ'ing. Here's the recording of the full 4.5 hrs of the closing sunrise DJ set. I hope it takes you all back and for those of you who weren't there I hope it brings you the sunrise  joy and magic we collectively had.

Isaiah Martin has been an integral part of programming the music for PlayAlchemist for years and is our Music Maestro for the annual Alchemist Ball. This year he invited Marieme and Snow Raven to perform live with him and the magic inside the pyramid was electric! Their set was completely unrehearsed and a pure flow state of music. After a wild and wonderful week for dust & mud, This impromptu evening on the bus was stitched together quite suddenly by our dear Robots, who assembled all the loons left behind from the fleeing masses on Monday night. This may have been one of the best nights in terms of vibe i’ve felt on the playa in a long time. For the true warriors stayed for the next few days to extend our journey without a single complaint of rain or mud to be whispered at any point throughout the evening. To those who were in attendance… i salute you. To the responsible ones who were on the move… dont worry, we saved you your seats. To the global family who skipped this year with an unexpected smile… guess again 😉. And to my favorite wizards, witches, and warriors of the Robot Heart… you make the magic true and dependable year after year, rain or shine, virgins or veterans, hardships and happiness. Dear friends, I'm grateful to share with you the recording of a morning session I had the pleasure to DJ on the cutest art car, Lucy S Cargo the colourful Sonic Snail 🌈  after sunrise on Friday AM at Burning Man 2024.

It was a sunny Friday morning on this love planet, smiling and taking life as it comes, lightly and playfully. 

I was so glad to DJ alongside @christianvoldstad and after my brother @dextercrowe who was soundtracking his first sunrise session on the playa so beautifully! I recommend you start with his set so you can hear the earlier chapter of this sunrise journey.
