Burning Man 2015 was one for the books.
A huge dust storm welcomed me as I arrived the Black Rock Desert and it was a year of many lessons and sick beats. 
This was my second time camping with the Unicorns and it was a total blast! 
My highlight of the week was hosting our camp's Burn Night event on our Art Car: "Charlie the Unicorn". 
This time i did remember to record my set on Burn Night which I leave here as a playa gift from me to you.

Things that have to happen happen

Just returned back from Burning Man, where we happened to meet these two really nice fellas who turned out to be the fathers of this little cloud. Thanks guys!
Even if we only stayed a few days, Nico Stojan and me had an amazing time with all ups and downs and of course plenty of dust everywhere.
Being in Black Rock City was a perfect reset and somehow seems to become more and more of a new general birthday, meaning that after Burning Man you start into a new year.
This is exactly how I feel. One year has come to an end and a new one is taking over. Also it coincides with the end of the summer up here in the northern hemi.
Now I am very looking forward to go back to the studio and meditate with my machines and cables. I urgently need this time to become a bit more quiet, not yet hibernating, but still creative. This is the reason why there won’t be many shows in the next months. But yet there are some more Acid Sundays to come and of course you always are invited to tune in, turn on and drop out, be it here or on mixcloud or simply on acid. 

Now let’s jump a little back to the beginning of this summer. After a Fusion pause last year it was about time to return and I have to say it was more than a pleasure to play at Seebühne that early Sunday morning, right after Be Svendsen’s amazing set. For some moments even the sun joined for a little dance. And there were so many happy faces to see.
The last 20 minutes are a reminiscence to my set at Splore festival, New Zealand, earlier this year.  I had brought some of my favorite Kiwi music, but ended up in a rush towards the end as they were cutting my set-time. I wanted to to this one more time, properly, without rush. Fusion was the perfect place and moment for it.
You probably might find some tracks that you already know from my others sets, but frankly, I think rather a bit of repetition than not sharing this one at all.
There is one track in particular that I have been playing over and over for the past nine months and I still can not get bored of it. It manifested the day Nana went on to her journey. 
With all my heart, I believe that I was only channelling at the studio that day, because if it really was a track that I had made consciously I would surely have gotten bored after playing it that often ;-)
A lot of people have been asking wether it will be released and when. I am happy to announce: Yes it will be released, almost soon. Even more happy that it will be released on one of my favorite labels, I never dared to ask.
But see, things that have to happen happen.

DJ Dane: Tycho Sunrise is one of my favorite moments of Burning Man and my entire year.  Thank you to the thousands of beautiful people that followed the Rhino out to the trashfence for smiles, the most amazing group hug I've been a part of and dawn dancing.  This past year, I've been so inspired by morning music and there was no set this burn that I put more love and care into than this one. It starts with ethereal wisps and wonders and slowly builds into a joyful ode to the day...Enjoy!

This is the very first mix that we have made together!  We recorded it after another great year at Burning Man.

What a burn! So much dust this year!!! But also so much love. This mix is inspired by our beautiful friends all across the playa.  We shared so many special moments with you all - from cruising the playa with the Disco Knights to dancing in the dust at Panda Lounge to playing for sunset at Atlantis. Special thanks to camp Common Ground for providing us with such a lovely home!

"My favorite set that we played this year at Burning Man was at Robot Heart. It was probably the only set that I really prepared for with Walshy Fire.

I'll be honest I was a lil nervous because I really wanted to make it run with energy for the full two hours and our typical audience isn't that used to a classic dub and reggae set. Myself and the whole RH crew wanted to create something really special for a sunset party and keep it true to the theme but to still feel like a Robot Heart set. The Robot Heart crew had told me that they wanted and entire set that sounded like "Major Lazer - Get Free" and I had to think hard about it. To keep the vibe going for two hours and for that record to be the climax was a challenge but I realized if you stick to your guns for the whole party and steer the audience in a direction and keep them with you, then anything is possible.  I hope you love it.. It's perfect for a party on a Sunday afternoon and represents a different side of Major Lazer"

HERE WE GO AGAIN!!!
2015 was a great year for Mayan Warrior at Burning Man… and now we are ready to start spreading the sets that made our week so special.
We start with what was experienced on the sunrise from Thursday to Friday having Rebolledo on the controls. 
The Sci-Fi mood was already set by Barnt who was playing just before, the temperature that night was very low, so honest power and hypnotic vibes were required to flex the muscles and let the mind go leaving  the cold behind… and that´s what was delivered…  

" I feel blessed to be part of the team of Mayan Warrior, after three years of playing there and two of being in charge of curating the lineups together with Damian Romero… I can only look forward to the next adventures which just keep getting better and better… Thank you all so much… "

It´s Wednesday night, the week is peaking and full of energy, mood is great and up for adventures, Paris and Gaga want to dance and that´s exactly what they´re gonna do, because the french touch of Jennifer Cardini with her powerful and energetic sound is gonna take over the Warrior and travel through the desert and beyond taking anybody on the way on a wild ride…

The first night is always charged with a very special energy, a spirit of initiation and collective emotion. Mayan Warrior crosses all the BM up to lands on the Deep Playa. All the people were there waiting and everything was ready…the opening ceremony finally starts and Diego Angelico Escobar aka Concret begins to play. Italo-Mexican musician and producer, founder and art director of Trafico Music Label, Concret took us into his soundscape made by mystical sounds, darkwave atmospheres and deep warm beats. Presenting also some of his recent productions he gave a solid and emotive first chapter to the 2015 Mayan Warrior Soundtrack and we all enjoyed the magic!

Concret has recently published on German label Toy Tonics/Gomma and is coming with a new work on the London based label Nein.

I still remember approaching the Robot Heart bus for the very first time during my first Burn. We departed from our camp all the way at 4 o'clock by bike, dodging sand dunes and cracks on the rugged Playa. From a distance we saw the illuminated heart, serving like a far far-away compass amidst the orgy of lazers and lights. And when we finally arrived, it was like being transported to another universe.  I was immediately engulfed by the experience.  So you can imagine my excitement and anticipation when I was invited to play the bus on Friday night of the Burn this year. The magic of the night is hard for me to put into words so I will let my music do the talking. Enjoy the journey and let it transport you back to those special moments on the playa.

Now more than ever, building bridges, connecting with the people around us and promoting unity is a necessity to live in prosperity towards the future… Sometimes one plus one is more than two… On Wednesday night and Thursday morning we witnessed an example of this magic when we united forces with Robot Heart, creating an epic experience between both stages and a massive mixed audience. The sun had risen and it was time for the last set on the Warrior's side, it was time for MENTAL. Rebolledo and Dramian created an energetic hypnotic journey through a wide range of emotions. A morning to remember... It was one for the books...

Sunny Crimea - Dreams (Influenza 013)

I wanted to tell a painful fun story about this recording. 

Last year, after long planning and preparations we finally set the date and slot for my new album Ex Nihilo’s first show ever. It supposed to be on the Robot Heart bus, which has a special meaning for me and my career.  For this show i had very special slot which was supposed to be during the man burn. 

I made my last preparations, all cables were checked, everything was so ready for my album premiere!  And on the last countdown, about an hour before my show, I started to have this weird and intense pain, spreading all over my body. The amount of the pain kept elevating while there was only 30 minutes to the show! Cramps like 10 people stabbing me all over. It was impossible to even lay down on the bed. I was writhing in the rv.  Finally I realized i was dropping fucking kidney stones right on the time of this very important moment of my life. So of course I had to miss my show and that nightmare kept on for several more hours.

The day after when I went to the bus to see temple burn, I heard one of my dear friends was gonna miss his show, so I was told to jump on the decks, not while man burn maybe but for post temple burn :) It was a kind gesture from the universe. So this set was recorded in a moment like that.. Hope you enjoy!
