Soul of Void is an electronic music project from St. Petersburg, Russia started by Alexey Izotov in 2017 to find his very own sound on a contemporary dance music scene. As art-director of Soul Kitchen he worked with many artists such as Tube and Berger, Phonique, Rafael Cerato, Edu Imbernon, Affkt, Nandu, Izhevski, Azamat, Moonwalk, Dashdot, Satin Jackets, Adana Twins, Balcazar and Sordo and many others.

He is focused on a certain ethnic sound in each track, preferring the eastern furrows and surreal sound textures of some of the old instruments of the Middle East, creating his own sets with harmonious designs and deep bass lines.

After a short period of work Soul of Void tunes are supported and played by Oliver Schories, Lane 8, Soul Button, Armen Miran, Darin Epsilon, Yoram, The Foreigners, George X, Kimball Collins, Marymoon, Niki Sadeki, Timboletti and many more all around the world, and music is released and forthcoming on KittBall, Submarine Vibes, Modern Day Music.

It’s pretty hard to describe anything from Burning Man without using phrases, sounding pathetic or cheesy. 
So maybe I shouldn’t try. Or I just don’t care about it?
Pablo asked for a little intro about my set in the tie-up night with Robot Heart when I played the Mayan Warrior art car, so here we go:
Every night, when the Mayan Warrior art car leaves its camp on it’s way to the deep playa it feels pretty sublime, like a wake up call for the rave kids with this drum beats, like a ritual where they follow it’s spiritual leader, the warrior dancer follow their flagship art car, it’s getting more and more crowded, surrounded by hundreds of bikes and of course I’m super nervous entering this elevated Dj booth, shaking from the bass or is it just me? And from one moment to another I am in the middle of lasers and fire, I am taking over the booth and after a second I’ve forgotten every fear and just start playing...

Fortsetzung deep story nr. 135

Mit schmerzenden Augen, dröhnenden Kopf und trockener Kehle erwache ich langsam. Der fiese Trip wirkt sich immer noch auf meinen Körper aus. Wer auch immer mir dieses Taschentuch unter diese Nase gehalten hat, hat die Substanz anscheinend signifikant falsch eingeschätzt. Die Betäubung war sicherlich viel stärker, als der Täter es geplant hatte. Minuten vergangen und nichts änderte sich. Ich konnte keinen Körperteil bis auf meine Augenlieder bewegen.  Jegliches Gefühl war völlig aus meinen Gliedmaßen verschwunden. So lag ich eine quälende Ewigkeit in diesem weißen sterilen Raum da.
Irgendwann bemerkte ich, dass auch meine weiteren Sinne eingeschränkt waren und erst nach und nach ihre Arbeit wiederaufnahmen. Ich vernahm sanfte Musik, die leise aus allen Ecken der Umgebung auf mich einströmte. Sie passte perfekt zu meinem körperlichen Zustand. Da ich auch nach einer weiteren gefühlten Ewigkeit keine Veränderung meiner Vitalfunktionen feststellen konnte, begann ich mich auf die Melodien einzulassen. Sie beruhigten meinen rasenden Verstand, der natürlich ergründen wollte was hier vor sich ging. Langsam ließ ich von den negativen Gedanken über meine vermeintliche Entführung ab und ließ mich immer tiefer in einen meditativen Zustand leiten. Ich konzentriere mich voll auf meine Atmung und die Musik. So versuche ich das Beste aus meiner derzeitigen Lage zu machen.

Entschleunigt zusammen mit Stelzenläufer, der seine liebsten downtempo Tracks für euch aus der Plattenkiste gekramt hat. Mit seinen beruhigenden beats hat er unter anderem schon die Fusion gechillt und setzt den Kurs mit seiner Faultierdisko Crew immer wieder Richtung ruhige Fahrwasser.

A Tribe Called Kotori - A Psychedelic Live Stream with ELIF

Imagine yourself being on the playa, looking for the Robot Heart bus, but can't find it anywhere, then you realize it is still in camp, trunk open, two technicians in the motor, the car won't start.. and it is our first time playing on the bus! Keeping positive while tension is increasing... here comes the sound... the engine works, total euphoria! We all jump in, and started riding on the beats of our dear friend Gab Rhome. When the bus stopped right in front of a two men statue before starting our set, we could not believe our eyes. It felt like playing in brotherhood in front of a mirror.  The crescent moon in between the two heads, our best friends behind us... the rest is history ✨💙
