Performing my live set at Mezcal Amores/Mezcal Amaras' Boda De Muertos event was such a special experience. The venue and production were beautiful as was the crowd dressed head to toe in Dia De Muertos outfits and face paint. 

To be honest I was a little nervous as this was the first time I played guitar in my live set in public. Everything went great and I felt an extra special connection with the audience that night. 

I wont be forgetting this one for a long time. Thank you Deborah, Nikita, JB and everyone else who made this possible.

LOVECRAFT LIVE SET @ MEZCAL AMORES - BODA DE MUERTOS | Mexico | October 2021

On Monday afternoon my camp Rise and I headed out for the first time on our artcar. Driving all across Burning Man for five hours was the perfect way to get a sense of the magnitude of this incredible spectacle. Besides my fellow Rise family more and more people hopped on the artcar. The vibe was incredible! And this ended up being one of my favourite memories of the week.

At one point we were cruising deep playa while the sun was setting. The artcar was super packed. Everything is covered in a smooth golden light. People dancing. People holding on to the car on their boards. People cruising along on their bikes. This was such a surreal and magical scene to experience. And int he back of our minds we were all realizing that this was only the first day. This was only the beginning of one of the most special weeks of our lives.

As it all happened very spontaneously, nothing was recorded, and so I decided to re-record part of this memorable journey and share it with you.

Burning Man 2022 | Rise

This was my 10th proper Burn (not including the super special Free Burn.) I was on playa for 14 days total. Participating in the build, the magic and tear down. The dust and the heat were intense, creating the perfect storm for remembering the extremes of Black Rock City. But even with all of nature's surprises the “show” still pushed forward and ultimately we all had the adventures we needed.

I was fortunate to have a romantic adventure partner whom I was falling for deeply. We had met 4 months prior and both knew the playa could possibly shift or solidify our foundation. After a reflective Tuesday night, I found myself at the temple during Wednesday’s sunset and thought “I want her to show up here.” Behold my beating heart - 15 min later she came around the corner smiling and said “hello.” We embraced and gazed deeply into each other’s eyes. At that moment I knew I was all in… The playa adventures to follow were the sweetest of sweet!

During my burn night set, she sat on my booth monitor as I played from the heart. We shared tender moments as some lyrics hit home for us. I chose music that reminded me of life, love and dust. My hopes were it would do the same for others. Two of my favorite memories were when I played a track with the lyrics “falling for you” and the man fell. And the track that followed - I’ll let you figure out why ;)

This musical journey is a mix of tunes found by me and gifted by friends.
Special thanks to Justin, RY X, Illich, Rocky, Opal and Dio for bringing these tracks into my life. This set is a bit different than what I’m used to playing, but in the end, it encapsulates how I felt.  

And to my camp, Robot Heart: What we continue to create in the dust is pure love & beats. Our old double-decker with one of the best sound systems in the world has so much soul. I am grateful for all our efforts to make it happen year after year. Thank you to all the dusty friends in front of the bus that bring the spice!  

And to that special human that said hello to me 7 months ago (May 13th) on the dance floor. Meesh you 💕

last month I had the honor of playing the famous m.n. roy in mexico city. i played from 3-5am and here is what I played. hope you enjoy it :)

This was my second time playing at Robot Heart and it was just such an incredible experience, from the first second after pressing play, the energy in that audio system, the art of the bus, the love of the people who bring it to the playa and the energy of the crowd of burners who stayed til the end through the rain... all of it created this explosion in my heart, that propelled me into this dual plane, at once being very present in the moment, and floating above the ether...

This year's burn had a special feeling from the start, the love was back, and after the rain the community felt the most connected I had ever seen. The man burn itself was poetically gorgeous, made all the more sublime by my friend John Dill's luscious set, taking the torch from him had an emotional resonance for me too.

The set has three acts. I began playing when the bus was parked by the man burning, then it set on its journey into deep playa. It was so exhilarating to play while the bus was moving, watching all the bicycles following, feeling that beautiful breeze on my face! The last is once we arrived to park in deep playa for the night… I was flowing off the energy of each of these phases and also fulfilled a long time dream to pay homage to my heroes Prince and Bowie in deep playa!

An Orchestra for the Spirit was played live in Black Rock City, riding the Maxa Deer. It was an offering of frequencies and words to bring unity to the Burning Man community that was about to witness the temple rise in flames.

As we believe in synchronicities over coincidences, we are sensitive and deeply touched by the powerful fires that burned for weeks in our beloved California. We contemplated what our best offering could be to support, and realized it is the perfect timing to share hours of music and inspiring poetry, to navigate the mysterious waves of trascendence and trust. 

From our hearts, this set is for everyone feeling the painful part of a shedding skin, a letter lost, a broken heart, or a physical or metaphorical home brought to ashes that now requires full trust to rise again and build a new landscape.

Here’s to new landscapes. 

We allow this orchestra for the spirit to tell the rest.
