When we got the call from the Robot Heart team asking if we were going to attend the Free Burn, and would we be able to DJ their 1st sunrise since 2019, we knew something special was about to take place.  

Both of us had performed solo sets on the bus many times in the past, but this was to be our 1st time playing as a duo. This special sunrise set is a dedication to the life of Robot Heart founder, Geo. 

We did our best to capture his inspiration, celebrate his contribution, and shine a light on his legacy.

We had several discussions back and forth with RH members that knew Geo well, and with that knowledge, we prepared special songs and spoken word moments to honor his memory.

Apart from that we did not plan out any of the set, and allowed the moment and energy to guide our selections and musical choices. 

We’d like to thank the entire RH Family for their trust and support over the years. And we’d especially like to thank all the true Burners who were in attendance, for adhering so well to Larry’s 10 principles, respecting the Playa, and reminding us all why we make this trek out to the barren, yet magical landscape, every year. Together we danced to celebrate life, and in particular, to celebrate the life of Geo, as he watched from above.  

We hope this recording brings a smile to the faces of all the lovely Burners who were in attendance, and also to all those Burners, including Geo (who were there in spirit) dancing in the dust, with sunshine and freedom, radiating all around us.

Goldcap - White Ocean Sunrise - Burning Man 2016

This is a reflection of a recent set I did at a Torus Dynamic-party at Club Ava here in Berlin.
I played alongside my friends Iman Deeper and Aleko Tersa, and it was such a long time since I´ve seen them both, so it was a special evening for me.

Maybe that is why I, for once, actually remember most of the tracks I played. One of the highlights of my set was definitely towards the end, dropping Martin H´s new track Visions. It is such a moody, hypnotic and driving track, truly great stuff in my opinion, and the crowd at Ava seemed to agree.

Martin is another old friend of mine, and I guess I could have easily have gotten the track from him, if only I had asked. But I like it so much, so I felt the only decent thing was to go and buy it (and write about it here to give him some indulgent exposure on my behalf ;)

So yeah, I hope you will enjoy this two hour ride, which is reflecting some of the moods I´ve been going through lately. Thanks for listening.
