"Returning to BM after 3 years was intense and instantly reminded me, how peculiar it is to play out in the desert. A constant trial of strength with the forces of nature. 
On Friday night my set at Mayan Warrior was scheduled. I took a quick disco nap before but fell into a deep sleep. Fortunately Chris Schwarzwälder had decided to accompany me. He woke me up and as soon as we started riding our bikes towards the playa we found ourselves in a whiteout which means no visible horizon and you can forget about finding an art car in the deep playa even with massive laser-rays that cut through dust and darkness. Thanks to Chris' navigation skills we finally came across the Mayan Warrior art car right in time 🙏🏼🥺😍 Here is what happened next…"

After shutting down the bot following an incredibly powerful and meaningful temple burn for our camp, many of you thought that was the end of our 2022 Burning Man. However, a few hours later, the bus appeared in deep playa with Nico Stojan at the helm, just in time for one last sunrise. Here's looking forward to many more surprises and unscheduled moments together in 2023.

"What an honor it was to return to the Robot Heart bus for the final sunrise set of last year’s Burn! 

Originally, the Robot Heart team wasn’t planning on playing music Monday morning, so I was super happy when they asked me to play the last sunrise on the playa.

When I arrived at camp early Monday, the RH crew was just waking up and the bus was still sleeping, but there was an excitement in the air - so often it is those unplanned experiences at Burning Man that create the most magic.

We drove out to deep playa in the dark and before long had gained a wonderful crowd, everyone coming together to dance away their final hours in the dust. People were exhausted, but also energized from their week in the desert and not ready to return to the default world.

It was a super chilled last sunrise set that I thoroughly enjoyed - an unexpected morning that turned out to be unforgettable!"

Following our good friend Lee Burridge past the sunset and well into the day as sandstorms whipped past us in the background we stood amongst friends and strangers (who are just friends we’ve yet to meet) and we danced and celebrated together, participating in the beauty of a shared moment that can only be held in our memories as a mere shadow of what we truly experienced… What an honor to be part of it all. A big thank you to everyone who helped make that moment happen.

"I had a musically transformational experience in front of the robot heart bus years ago.  At that moment, I made a promise to myself that the next time I stepped foot on the bus, it would be to play.  Fast forward 5 years later…it’s 2am Monday night, about 30 min before my set, and I’m sitting in the deep playa with a close friend watching the bus make it’s way towards us from the city.  It was a moment that I will never forget.  This was what all the hard work was for.

To me, this mix represents a small microcosm of one of the things I learn over and over again every time I go to Burning Man; with patience, persistence, resilience, and positive intention, you can achieve anything.

Infinite gratitude to everyone who's supported me along this journey.  Although this, is just another beginning."

I'm happy to finally release my first extended set with you, recorded at StereoBar in Montreal. StereoBar is a club that's quickly jumped onto my shortlist of favorite venues in the world. Beyond the nailing the club fundamentals (sound system, layout, lighting, staff), they feature the "All Night" series where one DJ plays as opener, headliner, and closer. I love this format since it gives me the opportunity to build the energy from scratch and take the night in any direction without constraints.

But more importantly, I get to play for one of the most enthusiastic, supportive crowds that I've ever encountered. The energy from this night was the strongest I've felt in quite some time, certainly my best gig of the last year. Almost everything I threw out there worked, which actually makes me think that I might not have worked hard enough. There are many more sonic landscapes I'd love to explore, so hopefully I can come back again soon and we can take another journey in that special room...
