Krabben sind doch faszinierende Wesen und auf Grund ihrer oft guten Tarnung und generell sehr scheuem Verhalten kaum unter Wasser zu sehen. Daher freut mich jeder Fund :)

Ihr freut euch hoffentlich über ein gutes Party-Starter Set, was mit ordentlichem Disco House startet und euch sanft in die Gefilden des Techno führt. Da bleibt kein Fuß stehen, hehe.

Brachyura

Two ROBOTS celebrating a Techno ritual on Sunday 1st June from 4am until 7:30am. Robot Bennett and the Afrobot (a.k.a. Kai Eikermann) in the Hammahalle, Sisyphos, Berlin with a multitude of aficionados. The DJ Robot Bennett, also an Afrobot, played this music for the Kai Afrobot to express b-boying dance moves in the very early hours of the first day of June 2025.

The large crowd seemed to enjoy the robotics mightily and showed their appreciation stridently. This generated a feedback loop causing the elevation of the Robotics which in turn caused the spread of rapturous elation.

Because this effect showed no sign of abating, the esteemed club representative requested a spontaneous schedule change; a 30 minute extension of the ceremony – a fitting tribute to the sincerity of the ceremonial participants.

I'm still overwhelmed by the feeling of playing for so many lovely Burners at Café Wonderland. What a crowd! What a vibe! ✨ Bouncy Indie Dance and Tech House-tracks for some peak time dancing. 💃🎶

This was mad, period. 🤯

I had the honor to play the closing at Café Wonderland this year at Kiez Burn 2025 and damn, that crowd was on fire 🔥🔥🔥
I feel so so grateful for all the happy faces, my Kiez "Comfortzone", the amazing hula show at the beginning ringing in the full blown circus of a leave-nothing-behind-dance, the secret chair society ⑁, our huge teddy bear "Ted" being stolen and suddenly showing up stage diving across the floor (you hear the story somewhere in the set 🧸), this chemistry on the dance floor 🤌🏼
It felt like everything I experienced during the festival came together for one last big bang 💥

Thank you Wonderland for trusting me with this closing slot. I think we all did very well 😜

Though not my technically cleanest set ever, I am very confident that this was the most energetic so far and I cannot stop listening to the sweet crowd noise accompanying all the bangers 🤤 
(sadly the recorder stopped mid set, so no crowd noise from there, luckily I got a back up recording on my computer 😮‍💨).

As I will become a dad very soon, I will step away from the stage for a while.
I see this as my grand finale... for now 😉

Robot Bennett – “Book me before I die”

How many people do you know who take up DJing in their late 60s?  And how many are actually really good? The answer is one – Robot Bennett.

The Robot is a wonderful, incredible anomaly. His love of electronic music stretches back to the early 90’s, when he tasted first hand the fabled golden era of techno clubs in Berlin where he has lived since 1982. He was at the Loveparade. He danced in the warehouses and basements, revelled at the festivals, and absorbed all of this influence from one side of the equation.

A lifelong musician, he balanced his passion alongside a career as a body therapist and yoga teacher. During a group breath work session he was playing one of his own techno mixes and a club booker just happened to be part of the group. The booker was so impressed by Robot's mix that he suggested he try his hand at DJ'ing. It was the spark that lit the bonfire.

Robot Bennett uses Ableton Live with an APC 40 Mk II controller for DJ'ing.

He plays hard techno – a dark and sometimes ominous sound interspersed with some lighter tunes and the occasional vintage track.

Robot Bennett also plays 60’s and early 70’s classic psychedelic rock. He has enjoyed playing the music of his youth at Nation of Gondwana, Hans & Gloria, Mensch Meier, Rummelsbucht, Bucht der Träumer and at New Years parties in Sisyphos.
