We are very proud to announce the next release on Fragrance and the second for 2025, “Set Them Right” by False Persona.

A burgeoning talent across many genres and musically wise beyond his age, False Persona lands on Fragrance with his first solo record for the label.

The first single “Set Them Right” is out on the 12th of March, features vocals by upcoming London rapper Le3 Black and is a firm club track blending elements of broken beat and bass to create a thumping and rhythmic excursion.

Irish independent Andrew Morrison (The Cyclist, Buz Ludzha, etc) returns as Indopan with a 70-minute suite of jazzy kinetics, lysergic breaks, and dusted swing: In Opulence. Inspired by a recent haul of modified rig acquisitions, including a Wurlitzer 206A, Korg Polysix, and analog Soviet drum brain called the Marsh UDS, the album skews his signature “tape throb” sound through a warmer, warbly lens, streaked with grit and sepia haze.

Morrison mentions themes of unattainable desire and hidden fracture as touchstones (“the breaking at the seams of a smile”), which are especially apparent in his two collaborations with vocalist Elaine Howley (“Shore Ellipsis” and “Antigreed”). But, throughout, the songs churn, burn, and billow with elusive movement, sweeping through rolling hills and misty city streets, in the shadow of uneasy futures.

Yaxche is the ancient and mysterious tree of birth, life, and knowledge in Mayan culture, from which the world's energy and wisdom flow.

The idea behind this album was born from an endless archive of layered tracks stored on Robotalco’s hard drive over the years, spanning from 2017 to 2024. This selection process reflects a clear eclecticism in the exploration of sounds and arrangements, seamlessly transitioning from classic house tracks to jazzy ambient, downtempo, Latin influences, dub techno inspirations, and beyond.

The album opens with a dreamy interlude titled DAILY OVERSIGHT, a captivating introduction that leads us into 5 AM ACTION DUB, a perfect after-hours track with dubby, immersive rhythms that take us on a true sonic journey.
