In Ägypten feien viele Muslime Weihnachten. Sie feiern zwar nicht die Geburt von Jesus, doch da das Fest sehr beliebt ist, nehmen sie einfach an den Feierlichkeiten teil. Die Christen feiern dafür auch  Muslimische Feiertage mit.
