My first crack at a full on psytech track went a little bit full on but has turned out pretty well and seems to be hitting the spot.

I have deliberately cut the drop from the sample as there's a little cheeky bit that I am saving for the dancefloor.

Hi there!, a passionate 2D digital artist specializing in fantasy art, character design, and storytelling visuals.

Rob Ótico is a Bristol-based DJ and producer blending techno, progressive and psytrance into powerful sets defined by deep basslines and explosive breakdowns. 

After a life-changing accident and an eight-year hiatus, he returned to the stage with a glowing prosthetic and an even stronger drive, performing alongside international heavyweights including John 00 Fleming, Jay Lumen and Eats Everything. 

Today, he’s recognised for high-energy performances and is one of the most recognisable characters on the dancefloor.

Dave's journey into the world of music ignited when a friend's brother introduced him to Realistic belt-drive turntables, sparking a deep desire to become a DJ. 
In the early '90s, Dave and his friends helped run Sumo's, a nightclub dedicated to hosting top DJs from across the UK, featuring names like Stu Allen, Mickey Finn, and Easygroove. Alongside his DJ responsibilities, Dave curated the light show, showcasing his experimental approach to timing and showmanship.

Venturing into the South West scene, Dave and his friends successfully organized several free parties, garnering attention through a BBC2 documentary, 'Close up West.' Dave's mixing skills gained recognition, earning him warm-up slots for renowned artists like Nick Warren, Carl Cox, and The Producer.

Driven by a passion for a full-time career in music, Dave completed a music technology course at Westcliffe College, Weston-Super-Mare, securing a Higher National Diploma in music technology. This marked the beginning of Dave's journey into music production, and in 1998, he joined Orca, a prominent West Country dance music act, captivating large crowds with original tracks played by various artists.

Since teaming up with Kevin Lloyd in 2002 as Analoglife, Digital Whale  and E-Lab Rat, Dave and Kev have consistently produced a stream of successful original tunes and remixes for labels, artists, and DJs, earning airplay on Radio 1 and Kiss 100. Dave's engineering prowess took center stage in the creation of the album 'The Sounding - Legends & Tales of Dolphins and Whales.'

Now, recognising the evolving musical landscape, Dave, alongside his longtime music partner Kev, has embraced change. While Kev delves into exceptional DnB, Dave, having stepped up to the challenge of going it alone, is set to release a series of up-tempo, cranking house tunes, showcasing his adaptability and continued commitment to the ever-changing beats of the music scene.
