Thios next episode of Bom Shanka Music series will be presented by PIEMAN.

Simon Pieman is one of the core members of the Legendary Tribe of Frog in Bristol, England and also label manager of genre defying Broken Records label and recently signed to the cutting edge psy label Bom Shanka, his talents are in full flow. He started music production in the last 2 years and is currently writing with K.I.M, Occular and Illegal Machines, with 2 releases on K.I.Ms album on Zero One records, he also has a searing Bom Shanka compilation in the pipeline for the end of summer, which will also be celebrating its 10th anniversary with an epic party in Bristol in November this year.
Pieman has been DJ’ing since his inspiration from the Haadrin and Goa parties in the early 90`s. He is one of the few DJ`s out there that can genuinely play at any party, at any time of the day or night, without more than a moment’s notice, and still maintain the flow of the music. With a very unique feel, his sets can be described as Maximal PsychedelicTrashPopDiscoFilth with dollops of full fat ice cream and wafers of random audio for good measure. Sublime multi genre sets are his talent and if there is a box he wont be in it! Psy-Trance, Progressive, Techno, Breaks, Electro Swing, Glitch, Drum and Bass, Freestyle Downtempo … we could go on!!

Having played internationally for many years, and a regular at Boomtown Fair and many other of the Uk underground and overground parties.

Hyperactive and sideways are a good description of his character!
He is also a truly accomplished Tree Climber and wearer of shorts.

Tribe of Frog just celebrated its 17th birthday with a 6 room multi genre party, and in its 9th year now the future of Broken Records is going from strength to strength, with its genre defying attitude to music, morphing and adapting every year with his vision and energy.

The future is looking exciting and wobbly for Pieman.

This is a special song for me as it's the first single of my forthcoming album which I have been working on for almost two years. I have made many records aimed at the dance floor the last years and I feel "Don't Let Go" is the perfect combination to flip the script as it's turning a corner in my production but at the same time it's still got a lot of my signature sounds. Holly Winter has an incredible vocal range and she brings across the feel good message of the song in very a unique way. Even my Mom is playing the song on repeat...so I guess that must be a good sign!

Don Diablo - Don't Let Go ft. Holly Winter

Fisher debuted “Ya Kidding” at the beginning of the Summer and it took a life of it’s own. It was perpetually in the top 10 for months, one of the most Shazamed tracks in Ibiza & UK through the festival season, took over multiple chart positions around the globe, and included an official video featuring an epic shoe-off, and became one of the biggest songs of 2017. 

With a track that strong as your first record, it was going to be a hard act to follow. Fortunately, Fisher’s sophomore release “Oi Oi” puts all those fears to rest. 

Leading off the EP is “Stop It”—the already infamous ‘roller coaster song’ that fans ask us about daily. The marriage of the track’s bassline and one sentence verse combine for an attention-grabbing single that raises the energy exponentially no matter where it’s played.

If you’ve caught a set from Adam Beyer recently, chances are you remember this track causing mayhem. ‘Your Mind’ is a banging new collaboration with Dutch talent Bart Skils, and it absolutely caught the attention of his Timewarp, Awakenings and Ultra set audiences with its haunting chorus chant.

It doesn’t get much bigger than this: Adam Beyer links up with Green Velvet and Drumcode’s outstanding rising star Layton Giordani for a debut collaboration.

Some musical partnerships feel fated. Both fans of one another’s work, for years Adam Beyer and Green Velvet had discussed writing music together. In turn, Beyer’s protégé Layton Giordani had admired the Chicagoan’s work for as long as he could remember. When the 25-year-old found himself playing alongside the green mohawked legend at Belfast’s Shine, the spark and subsequent friendship was immediate. Hi! Thanks to my fans & soundcloud for helping me get my login back so quickly. I wanted to post something now that it's back in my hands. Here's a cover of ~Voices Carry~. I've played it live a few times this year. It's always been one of my favorite songs but it's kind of deeply personal to me,lyrically. I recorded this in one day when a engineer had a room at Sunset Sound available.He let me use the studio for free as a favor, some of my friends came in and played the bass/guitar/drums for me after calling them 45 minutes before asking if they could try playing random stuff for me to work with/write on. Nobody has produced it (except me... I guess but this version isn't produced or mixed.It also doesn't have the synths & guitars I added today. I am out of the country so my computer keeps crashing.)I didn't want to wait until I was back to upload something. I have no idea what this sounds like in speakers either lol. This is what I call the infant demo because it's basically the scratch demo since it hasn't really been worked on & what not. It's also the only thing I can post without getting in trouble by other people involved on other songs.I promise I will be posting a lot more stuff on here & will let you know more about my album. I always feel a lot more comfortable sharing music related things here instead of Instagram etc
