Daametrius(Gio Mage) is a gift from GOD.  He supports and loves everyones music.  DAAMETRIUS was sent to make music that will raise your vibrations and vibrate a natural process of thought.  The mission is to clean the earth and teach humans how to respect their neighbors.  In me resides an avatar which is a very very ancient old soul.  My music will teach you how to appreciate beauty, to walk with empathy, to love to think before you act and to be confident in expressing yourself anyway. with an austere beat and a penchant for memory, chicago-based electronic duo vytyls run a veritable shop of musical curiosities. pick up a track. turn it over in your hands and admire its craftsmanship and meticulous design. though the original intent and history of the piece may no longer be overtly discernible, the intricate, driving rhythms and atonal underwater soundscapes suggest an implicit purpose. one offering might attempt to communicate via dial-ups or esoteric and deep-sea-grit sampling; another, with an evolving click beat drowning in reflective synth melodies. some pieces may arouse a feeling of dismay while others may induce the hypnagogia of a dying battery. if you find yourself lacking this shared vocabulary, remaining content to listen to and observe the digital beauty of the music’s unyielding robotic language is still more than a simple pleasure. vytyls creations are never of the here, the now, or the mundane.

CKUW is the on-campus FM radio station at the University of Winnipeg in Manitoba, Canada.

We broadcast at 95.9 MHz with 450 watts of power. Our transmitter and antenna are on top of #7 Evergreen Place in Osborne Village. The station operates 24 hours a day 7 days a week with all the programming being done by volunteers.

Since the early 60′s CKUW has offered students and the community a unique chance to express ideas and be introduced to music heard nowhere else in Winnipeg. CKUW programmers have an outspoken passion for music and information.

We strive to represent all genres of music with an attempt to focus on the vibrant local scene, as well as music from across Canada and around the world.
