BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix [October 2017]

As a hobbyist I collect Techno but haven't had chance to record a mix for a long time. I picked a handful of tracks to play and then just got stuck in on two CDJs, having not mixed most of the music before. I tried to build an immersive if sometimes chaotic journey, constantly working to layer tracks on top of each other a part from the occasional break to get more beer, piss or smoke. It won't be for everyone but I would encourage anyone who likes Techno to give it a listen

In these times of uncertainty music remains one of our most reliable and accessible pleasures. It’s importance to our wellbeing has never been more obvious. We’ve continued to make music remotely but we learn so much about a record from road testing, and without a chance to hear them on big systems with live human reactions it’s difficult to know when they’re finished. So we’ve put together a journey mix with lots of our newest productions, and we welcome your critiques... :)
