Her Cosmodelica Remix and Dub version blend trippy 303s, cowbells and deep grooves into something suitably fresh. Also included are two classic Unabombers mixes from 2009, and they offer raw house heat and dubbed-out psychedelia that serves as a fine floor-focused reinterpretation of a beloved anthem.

India’s homegrown house and disco imprint Dynamite Disco Club (DDC) hits a major milestone with the release of its 50th record: Dynamite Cuts Vol. 1, out July 11, 2025. The four-track compilation features new music from key voices in India’s ecosystem: Farhan Rehman, Stalvart John, Nida, and SourFunk.

Built for the dancefloor and designed to travel, DDC’s catalogue has steadily gained momentum over the past few years. With every release landing in the Traxsource’ Top 100, including highlights like El Funk Caribeño by ISHXN, Party Started by Daisuke Miyamoto, and What Is Disco? by C. Da Afro (which reached No. 5 on the Nu Disco chart), DDC has cemented itself as a go-to label for selectors across genres. Dynamite Cuts Vol. 1 reflects that same spirit. One that is rooted in groove, powered by community, and committed to house music that carries soul, swagger, and intent.

“This release feels like a turning point,” says DDC founder Stalvart John. “We started with edits and Nu Disco, but both the sound and the community have evolved. Right now, we’re focused on House records that are fun, functional, and still say something. We want music that belongs in DJ crates and is representative of the modern day sound around these genres; that’s where the label is headed.”


Nida, one of the freshest voices on the record, delivers “Where Were You?”, a high-voltage Tech House heater packed with Disco shimmer and soul. The track is peak-time ready and built for sweaty dancefloor moments — reflecting DDC’s belief in spotlighting emerging talent with bold musical identities. SourFunk rounds out the record with “Dancin’”, a dazzling debut laced with funky guitars, lush strings, and pure self-expression. Written as a tribute to feminine energy on the dancefloor, the track is a natural fit for DDC’s ethos of joy, freedom, and empowerment.

A beacon of dance music culture in South Asia, DDC has spent the last eight years throwing over 110 club events across 14 cities. Their landmark 100th event at Dots Bay House in Hiriketiya, Sri Lanka earlier this year stands as a symbol of the label’s regional impact and expanding footprint. From residencies in Bangalore, Mumbai, and Pune, to pop ups in Goa, Pondicherry, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Kolkata, and more, as well as curations and stage takeovers across premiere festivals that include Magnetic Fields, Echoes of Earth, NH7 Weekender, and VH1 Supersonic; the events have cultivated a warm, genre-forward dancefloor community across the region.

Phil Weeks is a house music purist. Whether DJing or producing, the Parisian with the huge personality delivers raw beats influenced in equal measure by
classic Chicago house and nu‐school French flair, underpinned with a hip‐hop attitude. His long running Robsoul Recordings also defines him as one of the
most skilled label heads in underground house music.
In the studio Phil is dedicated to classic hardware like Akai’s MPC 3000 sampler and Roland’s TR909 drum machine. He has released more than 250 tracks and
remixes since his debut in 2000, working with labels including 2020 Vision, Music For Freaks, Brique Rouge, Detour, Adult Only and his own Robsoul, which
is responsible for the majority of his original output. 

Phil’s work can also be found in the collaborations Fries & Bridges (with Hector Moralez) and PS Project/Bubba Beats & Kid Piston (with DJ Sneak). Production highlights include Phil’s three albums ‘Love Affair’ (2011), ‘Yeah I Like That’ (2003) and ‘Raw Instrumental’ (2012), alongside style‐defining singles ‘Hypnose’, ‘It Put Me Well’ and ‘All Day Every Day’. The music has been
heavily supported by international dance press including achieving accolades such as MixMag’s and De‐Bug’s ‘Album Of The Month’, while DJs ranging from
Danny Howells and Yousef to Mark Farina and DJ Sneak consistently play his tracks. Behind the decks, Phil has racked up enough air miles to take him around the
world several times over, with appearances at the world’s leading house clubs ‐ Queen’s Club, Sankeys, Circus, Ministry of Sound, Back to Basics and Stereo are
all regular haunts, alongside his Paris residency ‘Get Underground’ at the infamous Rex Club.

Phil has also fully embraced the relationship with his fans and house music fans in general – whether through his popular ‘Underground Chronicles’ video diaries
on Youtube or his personal relationships on Facebook.
Despite his success Phil isn’t one to brag. To him it’s all about keeping proper house music alive. Which just goes to prove Phil Weeks is a house music purist.
