Workerz is back on Feedasoul Records with a heavy three-tracker. The EP title-track brings forward driving drums, highly energetic pads laced with lively woodwind sections and rhythmically infectious breaks. On the flip side, 'Pretty little Things' keeps the flow moving with a bumping rhythm, flaring hi-hats and swanky vocal chops. Finally, 'A Place For Us' introduces movement-inducing percussion, soulful keys and feel-good vocal jabs supporting Workerz's signature rhythm. An overall cheerful vibe from this cut.

In the beginning, there was Jack... a legacy that continues to inspire. And it’s this classic sound that motivated Australia-based Irish producer and father of two teenage music critics, DENATS, to push himself in the studio. His goal? To craft tracks powerful enough to catch the attention of his favourite record labels.
With a deep-rooted passion for music, shaped in the '90s and refined behind the decks, DENATS drew further inspiration from the incredible support of the Robsoul community, including icons like Demuir and label head Phil Weeks. After countless hours initially spent working “in the box” and later expanding his setup with hardware, DENATS is now ready, signed and set to release his debut EP on Robsoul Recordings.

“No matter where I start, I always end up near that jacking house sound… hopefully with my own twist on it,” DENATS explains.

His 'Because Of Jack' EP is a four-track journey that dives into the groove, beginning with the funky keys of “Flash Money,” moving through the elastic bass and bump of the title track, to the filtered disco bounce of “Check Out The Groove,” and finishing with the house stomp of “Distraction.”

In 1981 Lee Michaels founded the Hot Mix 5, a DJ team originating from Chicago consisting of Mickey 'Mixin' Oliver, Farley 'Jackmaster Funk', Ralphi 'Rockin' Rosario, Kenny 'Jammin' Jason and Scott 'Smokin' Silz. 
The Chicago House Music scene exploded as the Hot Mix 5 show and BMX became the No.1 Radio show in Chicago by airing a new sound called house. Collectively with their unique turntable skills and radio persona a genre emerged. These guys broke nearly every Chicago House record we know today. From this show the first true superstar DJs emerged and are credited with turning Chicago and the rest of the world onto this new sound.
The individuals featured here are pivotal in laying the foundations for the domination of house music around the world today.
They went onto launch Hot Mix 5 records, a stunning label with a dazzling roster of artists releasing worldwide hit after hit, that have stood the test of time.Thelabel will see its catalogue released on London's Midnight Riot, featuring tracks, remixes, edits and collaborations with the likes of Larry Heard, DJ Pierre, Ashley Beedle, Ron Basejam, Severino, Pete Herbert, Rayko, Yam Who?, Kiko Navarro, Leo Zero, Fingerman, 80's Child and Jaegerossa.
The city of Chicago recognised the Hot Mix 5's contribution to the creation of house music and honoured them by presenting each member with an individual street named after them and in addition a street called 'Hot Mix 5 Way'.

3 years ago an unbelievable dream came true for me.... Two of my all time heroes Carl Cox & Nile Rodgers came to my studio in Melbourne and we ended up writing some seriously amazing music together.
One of the tunes featured Nile's first ever guitar solo and after all this time this track has been released and it hit my top 10 all ready!

UK talent Josh Butler has made a rapid ascension since he burst onto the scene in 2013, winning coveted awards from Beatport and DJ Mag. He now brings his production prowess to Hot Creations, delivering a club ready two-parter for his debut EP on the label.

Title track Anonymous is made for low ceiling, sweaty basements with its deep, growling bass and select vocal cuts. Doesn’t Work swiftly follows suit, delivering another dose of rolling, after-hours goodness. A mainstay in the industry, having released on labels such as Cuttin Headz, Relief and Desolat, Andrea Oliva steps up for the remix of Anonymous with an acidic bassline and lively breakdown that diffuses into a carnival of synths.

Since emerging on the scene back in 2013 with his debut Got A Feeling on MTA Records, Josh Butler has firmly established himself as a musical force to be reckoned with. Releases followed on coveted labels such as Kaoz Theory, Rejected and Cajual. In 2016, Butler also launched his own highly regarded imprint, Origins.

It might not be overstated to call „You & Me“, the debut album by Jacob Korn, long overdue. Ever since the Dresden resident decided to focus more on the House side of electronic music in 2007 he released music that is equally good as it is promising. With records out on labels like Running Back, Dolly and of course his home base Uncanny Valley he’s been fueling expectations for a long play record.

Since he has been playing around with electronic music for the first time in the mid-
nineties, Jacob has always been very much into producing together with his pals. So it was only natural that “You & Me” turned out to be an album that summarizes a lot of the collaborations that happened over all the years. Whether it was with an artist who played in his hometown Dresden or with someone who showed him around the town he was performing his live set at, Jacob never missed the opportunity to get together inside a studio and just jam along. Those sessions not only resulted in a lot of friendships but also in a string of music that take House music to all its edges. A track like the dark and dirty “Heteronomous” with Uncanny Valley fellow Sneaker lines up alongside the bright and sunny anthem “Punta Del Este” together with Belgium’s San Soda. Artists like Christopher Rau or Mr Raoul K add their trademark sounds but there is always that specific approach of Jacob Korn that connects the tracks. But besides that conceptual background: “You & Me” is an album, which is here to extend the listener’s summer.

The concept of collaboration is even expanded on the cover artwork. A team of seven graphic artists led by Johannes Timbernagel interpreted the same template of Jacob’s face in their specific style. To bring them all together Johannes texturized a 3D-Model of Jacob’s head with a collage of all the drawings.

Phil Weeks is a house music purist. Whether DJing or producing, the Parisian with the huge personality delivers raw beats influenced in equal measure by
classic Chicago house and nu‐school French flair, underpinned with a hip‐hop attitude. His long running Robsoul Recordings also defines him as one of the
most skilled label heads in underground house music.
In the studio Phil is dedicated to classic hardware like Akai’s MPC 3000 sampler and Roland’s TR909 drum machine. He has released more than 250 tracks and
remixes since his debut in 2000, working with labels including 2020 Vision, Music For Freaks, Brique Rouge, Detour, Adult Only and his own Robsoul, which
is responsible for the majority of his original output. 

Phil’s work can also be found in the collaborations Fries & Bridges (with Hector Moralez) and PS Project/Bubba Beats & Kid Piston (with DJ Sneak). Production highlights include Phil’s three albums ‘Love Affair’ (2011), ‘Yeah I Like That’ (2003) and ‘Raw Instrumental’ (2012), alongside style‐defining singles ‘Hypnose’, ‘It Put Me Well’ and ‘All Day Every Day’. The music has been
heavily supported by international dance press including achieving accolades such as MixMag’s and De‐Bug’s ‘Album Of The Month’, while DJs ranging from
Danny Howells and Yousef to Mark Farina and DJ Sneak consistently play his tracks. Behind the decks, Phil has racked up enough air miles to take him around the
world several times over, with appearances at the world’s leading house clubs ‐ Queen’s Club, Sankeys, Circus, Ministry of Sound, Back to Basics and Stereo are
all regular haunts, alongside his Paris residency ‘Get Underground’ at the infamous Rex Club.

Phil has also fully embraced the relationship with his fans and house music fans in general – whether through his popular ‘Underground Chronicles’ video diaries
on Youtube or his personal relationships on Facebook.
Despite his success Phil isn’t one to brag. To him it’s all about keeping proper house music alive. Which just goes to prove Phil Weeks is a house music purist.
