Real house master Phil Weeks makes his debut on Guy Gerbers Supplement Facts imprint with a trio of dancefloor bombs packed with his signature bump, funk and bass. Title track Sharks Looking For Fishes is a fuzzy, warm affair with warping pads and shimmering cow-bells building with dusty samples combined with a jacking bassline. On the B-side Bees Assault is pure heads down techy business, unhinged and driving its the peak time banger of the release and an assault on the senses. Phil Weeks -  Sharks Looking For Fishes

Following his excellent collaboration with Charlie Sputnik on 2022's 'She's Got Love,’ Dan Corco returns to Robsoul, this time teaming up with Carcasonne native Punk Wash to deliver the irresistibly rhythmic 'Jazzy Template' EP.
A firm favorite with the Robsoul fanbase, Toulouse-based Corco again demonstrates his prowess in the art of sample-sourcing. Teaming up with Punk Wash, the dynamic French duo craft four funk-laden tracks that are nothing short of essential.
The EP kicks off 'Jazzy Template', a composition true to its name, the track weaves gorgeous piano melodies with devilish drums and whispered vocals. 'Hear That Sand' follows suit, evoking memories of perfect summer days with its sweet guitar licks and toasty bassline.
'Give It A Twist’, with its bumping bassline, killer key changes, and acid jazz touches, showcases the duo's ability to blend genres, before they round out the EP with the aptly titled 'Time To Boogie.'

Label mainstays Fouk just dropped the perfect dancefloor Bomb with ‘Mirage’ paired with a high-octane Elisa Bee remix 

We all know Dutch duo Fouk from their soulful, bouncy take on house music. They’re also responsible for some of Heist’s biggest tracks like Kill Frenzy or their Lil Louis inspired 2021 release ‘Blue Steel’. On their new EP, the talented duo shows us a fresh side of their sound: the main-room hands-in-the-air-going-wild side. To top things off, Italian producer Elisa Bee made time in her busy schedule of DJ’ing and releasing for artists like Ben Sims on his Hardgroove imprint and Unknown to the Unknown to deliver a killer remix of the title track. 

Fouk’s return to Heist after 3 years is a welcome one and with ‘Mirage’, they might just have given us their biggest house track in their decade spanning career. The track is built around a stuttering synth loop and a seductive female vocal chanting ‘What made you wanna…” The real star here is the bassline, which propels the track into a seriously infectious groove. Add some lush strings and moody changeovers and you’ve got yourself a full-blown dancefloor weapon. Mirage has been a staple in Dam Swindle’s sets for the past months and has been one of their set highlights ever since.

“Coffee” is one for the classic Fouk fans. It’s got lovely Rhodes, a joyous combination of whoo’s, snare-rolls and synth hits grooving on top of an infectious orchestral background loop. “Tapioca” is a hybrid latin-electronic groove that builds on punchy synths, live percussion and drunk keys to balance the energy of the track. 

Elisa Bee’s remix of ‘Mirage’ is an intense percussive workout that builds on a breakbeat loop and a rave-bassline. The tempo is turned up a notch or 2 and that stutter synth and vocal of the original make this remix a wild warehouse affair.

Closing track of the EP is ‘Abalone’; A lovely bleep-house affair that still has a bit of that warehouse vibe. It’s got the perfect amount of distortion the drums while keeping things dreamy with some face-melting pads throughout the track.

The original version, also included, shows just why Sneak was the premier name in the filtered disco sound in the late 90's, influencing the likes of Daft Punk and Armand Van Helden. Strip Steve - This track was actually started 2 years ago when I was on tour going through NYC. Jr and I were in touch about working on some music and one day before he pick me up at the New Jersey station close to his studio I went record shopping, met Kenny Dope by chance and found a Black Male record lost in the cheap $ crates. I was so happy because I was a huge Romanthony fan but didn't actually know that specific record (a lot of Black Male recordings are hard to come by, even on YouTube).

I showed it to Jr and he was surprised that someone from my generation would be so excited to find this kind of stuff. Later in the studio we decided to make a "cross generation" track influenced by the style of Roman's typical preacher house records. We both had a lot of stuff going on and a busy few months ahead but after Roman's death we got back in touch again and decided we should finish it as a tribute to him... 4

Junior Sanchez - This was a track that we started almost 2 years ago at my studio in NJ, with every intention of finishing it.. But our schedule got the best of us, and it sat for a while. Theo and I kept in touch and constantly talk and share music. When the unfortunate sudden death of Romathony came to light i was in the middle of a gig and was completely heartbroken. Coming back to my studio i listened to some old Romanthony records and I remembered the track that I’d been working on with Theo. I brought up the session, tweaked some things, spoke to him via ichat. and asked about us doing this in Roman's memory. He was super down.. I sent Theo all the stems Via Dropbox, he mixed it in his studio added some finishing touches and here we are! 4 ROMAN!! Respect Jr.

Phil Weeks is a house music purist. Whether DJing or producing, the Parisian with the huge personality delivers raw beats influenced in equal measure by
classic Chicago house and nu‐school French flair, underpinned with a hip‐hop attitude. His long running Robsoul Recordings also defines him as one of the
most skilled label heads in underground house music.
In the studio Phil is dedicated to classic hardware like Akai’s MPC 3000 sampler and Roland’s TR909 drum machine. He has released more than 250 tracks and
remixes since his debut in 2000, working with labels including 2020 Vision, Music For Freaks, Brique Rouge, Detour, Adult Only and his own Robsoul, which
is responsible for the majority of his original output. 

Phil’s work can also be found in the collaborations Fries & Bridges (with Hector Moralez) and PS Project/Bubba Beats & Kid Piston (with DJ Sneak). Production highlights include Phil’s three albums ‘Love Affair’ (2011), ‘Yeah I Like That’ (2003) and ‘Raw Instrumental’ (2012), alongside style‐defining singles ‘Hypnose’, ‘It Put Me Well’ and ‘All Day Every Day’. The music has been
heavily supported by international dance press including achieving accolades such as MixMag’s and De‐Bug’s ‘Album Of The Month’, while DJs ranging from
Danny Howells and Yousef to Mark Farina and DJ Sneak consistently play his tracks. Behind the decks, Phil has racked up enough air miles to take him around the
world several times over, with appearances at the world’s leading house clubs ‐ Queen’s Club, Sankeys, Circus, Ministry of Sound, Back to Basics and Stereo are
all regular haunts, alongside his Paris residency ‘Get Underground’ at the infamous Rex Club.

Phil has also fully embraced the relationship with his fans and house music fans in general – whether through his popular ‘Underground Chronicles’ video diaries
on Youtube or his personal relationships on Facebook.
Despite his success Phil isn’t one to brag. To him it’s all about keeping proper house music alive. Which just goes to prove Phil Weeks is a house music purist.
