Constant Circles Radio 005 w/ Chapter 24 Records & Paul Nolan

Theta Eridani (θ Eri, θ Eridani) is a star in the constellation Eridanus. It has the traditional name Acamar from the Arabik Ākhir an-nahr which means "the end of the river“.
Acamar is a double star with some evidence suggesting it is part of a multiple star system
Acamar's distance from Earth as measured by the Hipparcos astrometry satellite is approximately 120 light-years.
Ptolemy described Acamar as a first-magnitude star, which some have taken to be in fact Achernar, which today appears just above the horizon in Alexandria where Ptolemy lived.
Achernar, however, was not visible to Ptolemy (it is from Alexandria today due to procession); its declination in 100CE was -67, making it invisible even at Aswan. Ptolemy's Eridanus thus without doubt ended at Acamar, which rose about 10 degrees above the horizon from Alexandria. This fact besides positively identifying Acamar as the original "end of the river", also strengthens the case for Acamar having been first magnitude in ancient times.

Seth Troxler offers up the next installment in a lauded series of 12's on his no nonsense, club-focused imprint Play It Say It. With previous releases coming from Butch, The Mekanism and Steve Lawler, next in line is a new addition to the roster: Leonardo Gonnelli. Based in Florence, Leonardo Gonnelli has recently release on Defected and has also on Dirtybird, Snatch Off and Suara. Throughout, the Italian native has consistently pedalled a sound heavily indebted to 90's Acid House and Detroit Techno and it's this in conjunction with a sound understanding of how to work a dancefloor that aligns him perfectly with the ethos of Play It Say It. 'Tonada' is a rich, hypnotic dance floor track propelled by clever sequencing that has it twisting and turning throughout. Arresting Spanish vocal passages punctuate progress while a circling sequence tumbles through the mix. The Dub version then omits the vocals in favour of distant whispers and caps off another solid addition to the Play It Say It series.

The rolling and grinding groove of this title checks all the boxes for the 'deep & dirty' category. As the middle name of Stephan Zovsky is versatility, E.S.N  takes a very different direction. This track comes with a vibe like the first day of spring. Dompe bends the jacked up House groove of the original into a flowing stream of rhythmic warmth that carries the high recognition factor of the playful melody. Also there's a collaboration track with long-year accomplice Sandro Schäufler: Calling Home is boiling with energy and just the right pick for those most glorious moments on a buzzing dance floor.
