Growing up bi-coastal between Houston, TX & NYC gave recording artist & songwriter, BETTY IDOL a unique ambition and style that has manifested into a budding and bright career. The Colombian/African-American stunner first turned heads (under the alias SALO) with the international dance hit Elevator, a collaborative effort with the Soul Diggaz. The song topped charts internationally from Germany to Japan. Retaining the moniker Salo, she next linked up with mega producer Polow Da Don, who officially inducted her into his Zone 4 collective. She soon followed with her debut feature on label mate Lloyd's “Bang” along side future collaborator 2 Chainz. She then lent her rap skills on the remix of label mate Veronica Vega's single “El Papel” debuting her new identity as Betty Idol. 
Her eclectic personal style (Pin up babe meets drug dealer trophy wife) and voice (an angelic cooing of innocence & waif like vulnerability) began courting more vocal guest spots with the likes of Wacka Flacka (Re-Up), 2Chainz (Supa Fly, So We Can Live & Do It), and gracing the pages of publications such as Vibe Vixen, Bleu, Word Up, Onyx Style, and Honey. The accolades would continue under the Zone 4 umbrella with a publishing deal with Universal. 
Freshly Minted from her deal at Universal, Idol began writing duties with the pop infused single “TGIF” for singer Nikki Williams, following up with the surprise hit summer anthem “Thug Cry” ft. Lil Wayne from Rick Ross' hugely successful album, Master Mind  reintroducing listeners to Idol's unique & infectious vocals. Singing alongside two of the industry's biggest hip hop stars, the buzz garnering from her “Thug Cry” appearance put Betty to work with producer super group The J.U.S.T.I.C.E. L.E.A.G.U.E., writing and featuring on STS9's upcoming singles “Get Loud” & “Year Infinity” as well as The Lazy Americans latest offering “Your Night”. Most recently Idol has been working with super producers The Runners, Danja, and Lacemode, is featured on 2Chainz’ “Blue Dolphin” from Trapavelli Tre, and will be featured on Cee Lo Green’s newest album. 
Continuing to expand her musical resume as well as uphold her “who's that girl” buzz, Betty is putting the finishing touches on her highly anticipated debut EP including her newest single “Pluto”, is one of the newest recurring cast members on Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta, and she will be joining STS9 on tour after the summer. With a constant aura of originality, one of a kind lyrical & vocal delivery, and head turning looks, Betty Idol is set for future influential dominance and Iconic musical super stardom.
