Hawk, also known to others as D-Hawk, Moss, The-9, and Hawk Honnah, is a Hip-Hop recording artist and songwriter from Burlington, North Carolina. Born in Dallas, TX he moved to the Carolinas at the age of 5 and has been a native since. Hawk started writing short rhymes in personal notebooks or whatever scratch paper he could find since the early years of middle School with no ambitions of becoming a rapper. Hawk used this as a way to cleverly express things he has experienced and been a part of during current moments of his life. In June 2010, one of his closest friends and aspiring rapper was brutally murdered. The mother of his friend approached Hawk in distress, stating that she heard of his high level of talent and stressed that she wanted him to live on her son’s dream
