So here’s a track representing Judley and VC’s chitchat moments.

It’s about time I start explaining some stuffs behind the music for Hivelost.
In this track we have two main instruments, reed organ from the left side and clarinet from right side. You can hear the reed organ keeps repeating the same simple melody, which is the theme instrument of Judley. (This is also why Cave Waltz has so many layers of organ sounds) This shows Judley’s stubbornness, the way she circles around similar topics, or keeps asking the same question.

In contrast, the clarinet (which is VC’s theme instrument) has a more resilient way of speaking. He messes around with Judley, gives her different answers, or even starts out a long speech. You might have noticed that in the latter part of this song, whenever he becomes the lead, he will back off to chorus immediately when Judley comes in in the next pattern. This also says a lot about his character.
