Today we are proud to introduce " @eira_haul ". This Berlin based artist won us over with one of his latest EP's "Lonely Water" released last August on "@lemon-test ".  
Eira Haul has lived in a lot of different countries over his life and he told us that his diverse music taste and productions are a reflection of this. He also admits that regardless of where he lives his taste are continuously shifting and circling “With the lack of clubbing recently a lot of my attention has been focused on music outside of the 4-to-the-floor structure and I've also been excited to engage with genres that got me into electronic music originally such as jungle and breaks” he said.

DECENNIUM31 - Altar (THEM)

The 31st edition of our DECENNIUM series comes courtesy of local legend Jack Christie aka Altar (THEM).

Founder of THEM Records and owner of Container Records, Brixton, @altaruk deserves huge credit for his contribution to the London underground scene and culture. His firm knowledge and ear for dance floor mechanics has gained him a well-deserved reputation as one of London's most multi-dimensional DJ's and dedicated artists. 

After running @themldn as a successful London club night series since around 2009, Jack decided to make the logical extension into an independent physical and digital imprint in 2014. The music is Techno and Electronica that intersects with urban rave music. The aesthetic is dark. THEM releases have included some of the most reputable artists in the scene such as Ansome, Hadone, Scalameriya & Hiroaki Iizuka.

As expected, Jack has fully showcased his talent and the might and experience of THEM Records, with this well-informed selection, recorded exclusively for our DECENNIUM series.

DECENNIUM - Altar (THEM)

After 5 years in the Shanghai local scene where she was involved as a dj, and live performer, Elise Massoni moved to Berlin to focus entirely on her music production.
She rapidly got noticed for her subtle blend of broken rhythms and delicate electro which landed her a first EP on Man Band records having her material remixed by Forest Drive West on 2 occasions.
   Being one of those wide-ranging selectors unafraid of drastic bpm and genre shifts, masterfully oscillating between fast techno, IDM, acid, and a smattering of ghetto and electro, Elise marked some notable appearances in some of Europe's most renowned clubs & festivals such as Kaiku (Helsinki), Rex Club (Paris), Dimensions and Flow festival.
   Finally relocating to Paris, Elise started her monthly residency on Rinse France in late 2018 and continues to push her sound forward and signed an opening reshape on François X's Irregular Passion reshape album (2019).
In 2020 she composed 2 short pieces to accompany artists' performances (cf. Tout ce qui ne tourne pas tombe - Chevalive Corporation, Espace Niemeyer Paris). 
Elise has also been part of beautiful compilations such as Grief Into Rage, Mutants Mixtape Vol 3 : SEED and last but not least, (2021) XX LAB first release ( https://youtu.be/Aml8mmmzQQ )

Ryan James Ford

  During the 1990s while growing up in western Canada, Ryan James Ford was introduced to electronic music through the local rave and club scene. He began to discover, study, and collect the music he heard at these parties which consisted of a mix of Jungle, UK hardcore, Techno, House, IDM, and ambient.

  Fast forward many years later when he moved to Berlin, where Ryan and his productions found a solid home on the legendary Clone Records. His productions on Nina Kraviz’s TRIP, Anetha’s Mama Told Ya, Ellen Allien’s We Are Not Alone, Ida’s SÄVY, Marcel Dettmann’s MDR, Tale of Us’s Afterlife, Answer Code Request’s ACR, Dream Ticket, and his own label SHUT followed steadily after.   

This man's sets and productions are rich with inspiration from his time spent living in Calgary where he had interests not only in electronic music but also in hip hop, post-rock, reggae, jazz, experimental, and even some interest in metal. He began experimenting with production in the early 2000s but it wasn’t until 2013, with a move to Berlin, that he started investigating his musical capabilities seriously.  

Even though two decades have passed since Ryan’s introduction to electronic music, his love for early Warp, Metalheads, Metroplex, Novamute, Skam, Downwards, etc. can still be heard resoundingly clear in the strength and versatility of his productions and sets. The future will see Ford continue to play out and release on labels that share his like-minded affiliation and roots in the electronic music community.
