The Unholy Rolla is a Singer/Songwriter and Musician that plays an original, grungey, gritty style of Rock. He's a patriotic Australian, a proud Victorian and he currently subsides on the Mornington Peninsula about an hour south of Melbourne. With a unique sound that has some familiar characteristics about it, he can have just about any listener rattling their brains looking for references or comparisons to his songs. It's only been a few years since The Unholy Rolla has been singing his stories, though his creator has been around town fronting bands and doing different solo acts for about a decade. 
The guitar style The Unholy Rolla puts out has a 'simple' aspect to it but with catchy strumming, can make it easy listening for just about anyone of any age or gender. The vocal style brings a whole new dimension to the music. Some describe it as 'explosive'. With almost a soprano like feel to start, gritty overtones and long husky melodic 'yells' it give the story telling lyrics a pedestal to really shine and grab the audiences attention in any performance. 
The act has a refreshing feel that's different from a lot of solo acoustic acts currently on the scene in Melbourne and surrounding areas. 
In late November 2013 a four track demo/EP was recorded. It was available to the public from Feb 2014 and got a pretty good reception with all copies selling out and managing a bit of airtime on the wireless. 
89.5 Valley FM Canberra being the biggest and muchly appreciated supporter. A re-print sell-out reassures there will be another re-re-print available any time now. There are also plans to record some new material and hopefully have a debut album or 9 track EP out for release in early 2015.
