As my week unfolds, 
I step forward with the best design, 
My agitated thoughts realigned, 
And yet at some point I'm overcome by the fog, 
Doubt retakes my days, 
A sense that we're too far into the final phase. 
Oddly, then, there's an  attraction to the end, 
And there's no shame in this feeling.  
Might dark surrender set the course for a process of healing? 

l rejoin my life, 
My friends with their frets and woe, 
You yourself, and this week's net that's dragged you low. 
Stands to reason, I tell you, 
That that creature you met at the bar, 
Was the same offender who fouled your car, 
Trolled your sister's lover,
Sexted your dad. 
There’s no shame in an odd attraction, 
And we know the end is near. 
Perhaps after all you should have what you couldn't have had.

We enter our final days, 
Let's live as such, adjust our way
These incidents and trials, claims, retorts and denials that fill what would otherwise be an intolerable wait, 
Let's make them our best. 
Let's inspire joy in our children, 
Put our desires to the test, 
Make uselessness our guide,  
Defy the laws,  
Spread random deeds wide, 
For there's no shame in what we've undone, 
And ultimately no loss in a lost cause.
