We are an alternative rock band from Spain! We love being goofy, joining pits during our own shows and popping out confetti!

XTC, Pink Floyd, MGMT, Steely Dan and Brian Wilson have a hole puncher fight in zero-G. Many tracks are WIP, headphone mixes etc., done in pieces at scattered times and in strange places, by shadowy people.

Iris Brickfield are Helen on vocals/words and Bob on guitars, backing vocals and additional instruments. They hail from Newcastle upon Tyne, having formed in 2014. They take their name from a local park they have frequented since their youth.

Formed from the ashes of various covers bands in 2014, The 62 have been trail blazing their original rock and pop influenced tunes through the Scottish music scene since 2014.

The 62 hailing from the Scottish Borders, bring you a fresh and exciting guitar driven sound that has you instantly hooked giving you the warm feeling of an unheard classic.

After the release of two successful self funded EP releases, the band have developed a strong following and are currently working on a highly anticipated debut album.

The boys cite many eclectic musical influences including Foo Fighters, The Beatles, ELO, Queen, Beach boys, Napalm death and even some cheesy pop like 5ive and Abba make the list!

So far the band have worked hard playing many well known and some lesser known music venues throughout Scotland. PJ Mollloys, Whistlebinkies, Stramash, Box, Bloc, MacArts and many more on the list with the highlight coming at the legendary King Tuts. Bass Player Marc Murray stated “ To have had the opportunity to play on the same stage as bands such as Oasis, Blur, Biffy Clyro etc is just amazing. It has left us hungry for more and determined to make more music for the folk who support us”.

With the forthcoming album in 2019, the band hope to continue to develop their unique sound with performances at festivals and further afield all on the cards. 2019 is sure to be a big year for the band so be sure to catch them at a gig near you!

Social Room are a musical sextet – who co-incidentally share an acronym with the postcode of their residence, SR…..

Formed in summer 2014, the band began to hone their upbeat sounds within the four walls of windowless rehearsal spaces lacking in much soul – before finally settling on a permanent home amongst the budget emporiums & needle exchanges of deepest Sunderland city centre. Rumour has it is that this base is haunted –although not one band-member has yet to risk a lonesome after-dark dalliance to confirm…...

Early recordings garnered local radio play on Spark FM and BBC Newcastle – which in November 14 afforded a debut gig in-front of a raucous packed out crowd at Independent, Sunderland. 
Further gigs across the North East along with new recordings followed throughout 2015 - culminating in a sold-out headline show at the o2 Academy, Newcastle. Spreading their wings, the band have also played venues in Liverpool and Camden during their short existence.
The pages of local rag ‘Sunderland Echo’ were hit in July 2015 (and no, it wasn’t the court round-up) in which a competition to open the inaugural Sunniside Live festival was won. A blistering set was performed on a stage which later graced the critically acclaimed Frankie & The Heartstrings and Hyde & Beast.

Best described as ‘soaring melodies underpinned by dance induced rock and roll beats,’ the band are currently gearing towards their latest output, ‘Let Me See You Work It -’ and will return to Independent, Sunderland on 28 November 2015 in support of this.

Rock North East is following
