Sirus Hood Biography 

Sirus Hood is a French artist. Age 10, his love for House Music was at the time fed by his older friends, giving him mixtapes recorded in a legendary club in Algiers. Few years later, he moved to Paris, and started his DJ career age 18 when he purchased his first vinyl turntables.
He quickly became a regular DJ at every Parisian club.
The journey continues, as he started to become a self-taught producer, preparing his new project under the name that we know today: Sirus Hood.

After refusing to do social media when the project started, he insisted on building his audience purely through the music and word of mouth first. Once these foundations were built he opened his socials with an instantly huge response from the public. A testament to his following. 
His music is influenced widely from the 80-90s’ Chicago House movement from warehouse & loft parties to the whole Balearic sounds of Ibiza.

Sirus Hood first releases on CUFF including “Welcome To The Hood” EP in 2014 and Dirtybird including “Third Eye” EP in 2016 kickstarted his name. 
Sirus Hood also released on labels like Rawthentic, Cajual, Sola, Wow!, Under No Illusion.

In 2020, his release “Rip Tide” EP on Jamie Jones’ legendary label Hot Creations marked a major step forward to his career. 

Few weeks later, Sirus Hood launched ‘Mood Edits’ on Bandcamp with Manda Moor, a concept of limited series of edited tracks available during a month and then deleted to be replaced by new volumes. He had this idea after realizing that in a world where a lot of DJs or listeners are digging rare cuts, the biggest problem of music nowadays is that it is too available. ‘Mood Edits’ is repeatedly supported by the heavy weights of the scene like The Martinez Brothers and Loco Dice.

DJ residencies in Sankeys Ibiza, Eden Ibiza, Ministry Of Sound in London, Social Club then Showcase in Paris gave him a platform and opened doors to wider audiences all around the globe. From Europe to South America, from Australia to South Africa, Russia to North America, passing by the Middle East, his travel patterns underline his ability to work with different crowds and cultures while illustrating his cosmopolitan, universal side. To him - music is one language and unit.

When Sirus Hood isn’t on the road, he spends most of his time in his ‘laboratory’ like a scientist to his music. He satiates his hunger of knowledge through research of new sounds, with his impressive studio gear collection. He challenges himself on every new track with different recipes. In the end, his goal is to produce tracks that sound different from each other.

Today, his work is regularly supported by big names in house music like Jamie Jones, Nina Kraviz, Marco Carola, Paul Johnson, Claude VonStroke… He frequently appears in the charts.

"Bowsie" who are also well known as Full Funktion based in Dublin, Ireland. Scott Curtis & Raymond o Connor have been creating their own twisted take on house and techno for the last 15 years. Over the years they have been honored to have their music remixed by Filthy Rich, Phunk Investigation, Filterheadz, and Steve Mulder. Their track Ducati on Umek's 1605 label went straight to no 1 on track it down and hit the top 30 on Beatport. This release was heavily supported by 1605 head man Umek. After this, they released an EP on Kevin Saunderson's KMS Records and a 2 track ep on Spektre's Label Respekt Recordings. Another one to mention is their massive release "Esperanza" on Flashmob Records.
After their releases on Flashmob, KMS, Respekt and 1605. Things really picked up with heavy rotation on BBC Radio 1 and Eats Everything supporting a lot of their tracks around the world. At this point, Full Funktion was fastly getting known for techno so the guys decided to create a second alias for their less tough sound. Bowsie was now born, with releases on Traum, Baroque, Mirabilis, BeLove, Decide, PPMusic and of course the massive hit La Sirena which was out on Flashmob Records.

This label has had some massive names on it such as Charlotte de Witte, Timo Maas, Joel Mull, Sasha Carassi, Tim Green, Rudosa, D-Nox & Beckers, and the list does on & on. They will also make their debut on the amazing Déepalma Records again a label that has released tracks from some savage artists like Ben Delay, David Penn, Maya Jane Coles, Tube & Berger, Eelke Kleijn, Purple Disco Machine, Sidney Charles, Steve Lawler, Josh Butler, Franky Rizardo, Full Intention, and Camelphat.  Finally, the guys plan to make a return to their good friend Flashmob's label this time on his exclusive Flashmob LTD. Nimrod (Rockwell) a household name that entered the dance and clubbing scene back in the very early 90's.During these's times he played and was part of the underground clubbing organization in Dublin. Back then he would of played venues such as the Temple of Sound, Ormond multi-media centre, Columbia mills and the S.F.X Centre to name a few. He then progressed to run various club nights in The Ambassador, Temple Theatre Dublin, IL Mondo, The Legal Eagle, Spirit, The Academy, The Music Factory, Sin Temple Bar and the Tivoli.
He became the main resident at Spirit Dublin / The Academy / The Temple Theatre and the Music Factory for a number of years. 
When growing up he had a genuine love for the late 80’s and early 90’s dance music and with him been influenced by acts like Visage, Kraftwork, Kklass, Inner City and The Goodmen he started producing music. 
In the last number of years he has had releases out on DXR, QuickStar and Echodeluxe Recordings with a couple of collaborations with Scott Curtis (Feech La Manna)  
Nimrod (Rockwell) was the main resident for the Irish Club Tour 08, which was organized by Slick-Dj, Irelands only dance and clubbing magazine. 
Some of the clubs visited were: Cosmo Browns Carlow, Voodoo Letterkenny, Fabric Tralee, Fruit & Nut @ The Basement Roscommon, Vibe @ Milk Belfast, Electric Circus Waterford, The Gpo Galway and The Trinity Rooms Limerick.
