Next up in the Fast Forward Audio Series we present: Roma Ptashenko

From 2012 Roma has found his inspiration in the roots of rave culture — the 90s: Belgium with its accelerated-rough rhythms, melancholic trance and acid with its emotional edges, Britain and hard trance from Bonzai Records, as well as early releases on German Harthouse and rave revival from ТРИП label. 

His first DJ experiments took place accordingly: two old decks, CD disk records and endless mixing.

As a result, Roma's sets have become adjust compositions that belong to the dancefloor, but leave the space for real bangers. The big-bit track smoothly enters techno cage: Cari Lekebusch suddenly weaves with Nina Kravitz's sensual hits, and Prodigy remix drowns into progressive house of the duo Der Dritte Raum.

Over the past few years, his performances could be regularly seen both in the main Moscow techno-mecca Mutabor, and in St. Petersburg's Blank or the closed underground space of Raf25, in Tbilisi's Drama Bar and Yerevan's Poligraf.

Roma is a member of two iconic Moscow communities: the Volchok streetwear project, where he leads his series of podcasts and organizes parties. And the Popoff Kitchen music queer community. This year, the association was included in the list of the most influential projects that form youth culture.

Fast Forward Audio Series #63: Roma Ptashenko

The first episode of Paragraphs is dedicated to the Moscow musician Disco Morato and his DJ Set at the soviet Zelenograd 'Collider', an abandoned soviet center of informatics and computer technology.

Disco Morato produces dark romantic music and releases it on its own label Maxima Culpa, Nein Records, Fill-Lex Records, and MSQ Records.

Sariim is the dark lord of the Moscow scene, one of the co-founders of "Rabitza", which remained a bright flash in the memory of the indifferent public, and also the creator of the Temple Of Joy series of experimental practices. His sets embody the raw power of electronics, and this particular recording was made at our Delta festival in Mutabor, on the Medium stage.

Misha Gutman is a DJ and promoter from Moscow, co-founder of the streaming project "PROEKT" and ex-teacher of the DJ school "Uppercuts".

Misha harmoniously combines music from different eras, moods and grooves. His mix for PRGRPHS, consists of vintage German new-beat with characteristic vocals, catchy trance sounds and acid compositions from different eras.

Ce soir, déploiement d’une mixtape composée par Sophie du Palais, un exercice tout spécial pour elle puisqu’il s’agit du tout premier mix qu’elle produit, loin d’être DJ, elle est surtout chanteuse et pose sa voix sur ces compositions fétiches.

Pour ce tout premier mix, taillé pour la radio, elle s’amuse à entremêler des musiques fortement aimées et beaucoup écoutées ces derniers temps, tordant les BPM et les voix.
En introduction, lecture d’un tout petit texte en anglais par Sophie elle-même, comme une note pour toujours…
