Portuguese DJ and producer Lewis Fautzi has steadily risen from the quiet town of Barcelos to the forefront of the global techno scene. His trajectory has been nothing short of interstellar; launching with early releases on Portugal’s Soniculture, and quickly becoming a fixture on genre-defining labels like Soma, PoleGroup, Figure, Warm Up, and his own Faut Section.

His debut album The Gare Album, named after the Porto club that helped shape his artistic vision, was a bold opening statement: raw, precise, and deeply personal. A year later, Space Exploration pushed further; revealing his appetite for ambient experimentation. 

Across his discography and throughout his DJ sets, Fautzi blends dense atmospheres with magnetic, machine-like rhythms; building a sound that feels as mechanical as it is alive.

 A true craftsman of deep space sonics, he channels the gravity of the cosmos into #254: tense, immersive and unrelenting. This is Lewis Fautzi at full force.

SHDW is the phantom moniker of Marco Bläsi, a Stuttgart native with a penchant for racing percussions and big room sounds. 2014 saw the beginning of his long-term partnership with like-minded techno dealer Obscure Shape (Luigi Urban), with whom he co-ran the party series and label spin-off From Another Mind. Ten years later and Bläsi has set out on his own journey, building on a decade-long legacy of sounds with just himself, ‘his music, decks, and a mixer’. Following on from his previous label, he founded Mutual Rytm in 2022, an outlet and creative platform focused on putting out the type of expansive techno SHDW’s come to be known for. His signature style a blend of intelligently superimposed and shuffling basslines, blink of an eye beats that elicit movement and social bonds. Unerring prime time techno, Bläsi’s path forward is looking promising, with a surge of Mutual Rytm releases and worldwide dates, the next ten years look set to further build on what he’s achieved since he started out. That night was one of the most powerful moments of my journey so far. I’ve never felt so connected to myself and to the dance floor feeling emotions I had never felt before in a dj booth.

This set is not just a recording; it’s a piece of me. A journey through different layers, moments of depth, light, tension, joy. It flows through various states, just like we do.

This mix is an attempt to cover and condense what's been on my mind, shaping it into a coherent narrative - a sort of speculative history of imagined futures. I wanted to reward patient listeners with something that gradually unfolds, something that at moments feels eschewing and idiosyncratic, playing with tone and rhythm in ways that contrast trends. 

The story is propelled by this sense of futurism that has always existed in our music and our culture, while being firmly rooted in history's oldest instinct - forward motion.
