Ups and downs

This track was produced using the Instrument1 during my residency at the Ace Hotel New York curated by Artiphon.

The experience at the Ace was one of a kind. I was inspired by the space, the people/sounds we heard in the lobby, the food, and the fact that it was two separate elevators to get to the Attic. As soon as I walked into the room I caught the vibe…I didn’t really wait to get started, I poured up some wine and started strumming, letting the combination of the vibe of the Ace and the bustling sounds of the city coming from the window take the wheel. I actually found a melody very early on and used that as a stepping stone for the rest of “Reflection”. I look forward to catching a vibe at the Ace hotel again sometime soon.
