French citizen Olivier Mateu stands for sophisticated and musical techno music, released on imprints like F Com, Mobilee and Systematic. His productions always have a certain 'something' which a many producers cannot deliver, fuelled by passion and love.

'Mistral' was originally released on the '10 yrs of Systematic' compilation on CD only, but after a massive public demand it was clear that it must be released on vinyl and backed by new remixes.

Who else could we chose but the labels most popular artists, label head Marc Romboy and Stephan Bodzin. Reworking the original in their own unique way, both deliver epic, energetic and symphonic versions!!!

Douglas Greed is known for his melancholic, organic, emo techno tracks. Surrounded by hills and forests, crossed by a river, far from the extravagances of Berlin and mostly inhabited by students, Jena is the artistic home of Douglas Greed’s music. 
His versatile DJ skills cover every mood in a heavy weekend of partying. His musical output covers a broad stylistic range while retaining its own clear fingerprint and often bypassing the conventions of purely functional club music.
Douglas Greed has also been spreading more bass-heavy vibes for many years in his live set-up with Fabian Kuss on vocals (who is also featured on ’Like Feathers’) and Michael Nagler on drums.

From Friesland in the northwest of his Dutch homeland, Eelko Wijnja has become a considerable musical force through the use of his Navar production moniker. Now, returning to Proton Music, Navar presents his debut original EP, "Ava Mea".

A producer from an early age, Navar's teenage years were spent as a "studio junky" building his relationship with his music and an array of equipment that would become the hallmark of his analogue sound. Inspired by the broad church of the electronic musical form, the Dutch producer has continually impressed since a debut for Klopfgeist in 2010. Productions that fit Navar's own "deep, melodic and danceable" brief, a catalogue of original and remix material has found its way to such celebrated imprints as microCastle, Lost & Found and fellow countryman, Eelke Kleijn's Outside The Box. Having been remixed by such luminaries as Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J and 16 Bit Lolitas, Navar's pedigree is second to none as he himself has reinterpreted works from Roger Martinez, Pedro Aguiar and Estroe.

A trio of production credits on the Particles imprint have included a pair of remixes for Ferdy and the 2011 original track "Clean Sights", while a solitary remix of Scotty.A's "Sense of an Ending" for Proton Music in 2014 is now crowned by a debut solo original EP for the label in the musical triptych that is "Ava Mea".

An intelligent narrative that runs through the three offerings, the opening title track sees "Ava Mea" bristle with innovative percussive cadences that would sit well on a modern Thom Yorke production. Stereo-panned percussive clicks and claps bristle with energy as a muted freeform lead line meanders across the eight-minute journey in intriguing fashion. Picking up pace in the third movement a metronomic beat comes to the fore, paired with simmering melody to innovative effect.

The aptly titled, "Sacred Bali Spirit", presents itself through intricate percussion and rhythmic flair as a loquacious vocal sample is regularly interspersed amongst a bed of deeply resonating bass notes, flowing textured pads and static noise effects. Telling a rich, detailed picture as it progresses, parallels with David Sylvian and Robert Fripp at their experimental finest are not misplaced. Launching into strong rhythmic flair in the final third, this is an impressive work.

The final part of the narrative sees Navar join forces with Odette on "The Slowbeq Paragraph". Breathy effects make up a clever rhythmic pattern across more traditional drum motifs while a deep menacing bass line builds in intensity. Soothing vocal sounds are layered effortlessly together across the seven-minute voyage, evolving throughout in a work that is as innovative as it is striking.

A work that is steeped in innovation, imagination and intricacy, "Ava Mea" sees Navar step boldly forwards into 2016.

Some follow trends, others set them. Award-winning music producer & live performer Rodriguez Jr. also known as Olivier Mateu has spent 25 years in the industry. His vast experience in all genres of electronic music makes him the visionary of melodic house and techno that he is today.
Over the years he has gradually honed his style into the dynamic, colorful sound of beauty that can now be regularly found on Mobilee, Anjunadeep, Systematic, Armada and demanded for on remixes of Stephan Bodzin, Booka Shade, Eli & Fur, Röyksopp, NTO, Timo Maas and more.

Drawing inspiration for his live performances from the vintage synthesizers, keyboards and dusty analog gear of his studio in Paris, Rodriguez Jr. relishes the opportunity to travel the globe and realise his project on stage. In doing so he has amassed a devoted and loyal fan base through the creation of his unique movement. Some of the most recent acclaimed shows featured huge festival performances at Sziget (Hungary), Lightning in A Bottle and CRSSD (both California), Paraiso and Sonar Festival (both Spain). Continuing to blur the boundaries between electronic and organic like few others can, his extensive touring schedule sees Mateu at world-renowned clubs every week, taking him to the likes of Solumun’s party at Destino Ibiza, Fabric London and Space Miami.

Not stopping there, Rodriguez Jr. has formed a special musical partnership with former Nouvelle Vague vocalist Liset Alea. The pair met 15 years ago creating music for Laurent Garnier´s label, and through their ongoing live RJLA project, they tell sonic stories, fusing organic charms of live instrumentation with cutting-edge music for the dancefloor and presenting this at selected events. This culminated in an extraordinary audio/visual display for broadcast pioneers Cercle, with a unique performance at the carefully selected idyllic location of Falaises d’Etretat, showcasing their captivating live electronics.

On the production front, Mateu has continued to have an exceptional output, with his last release on Mobilee Radian entering the Beatport top ten within three days following release. Another highlight was his full Anjunadeep debut on the eclectic double-cut entitled Phoenix/Amargosa. Alongside this his remixes have also been received with equal merit on labels such as Crosstown Rebels, Systematic or Poker Flat. His latest reworking of Eli & Fur on Anjunadeep made it to number three of the Beatport melodic house & techno chart. On Spotify, his music reaches an audience of 625,000 listeners each month and continues to grow every week.
