‘Return To A Place Called Heaven’ is the next EP from Boston-based duo Warung. Making their Anjunadeep debut in 2021 with their remix of Nox Vahn’s thundering hit ‘Brainwasher’, the duo since released their four-track EP ‘Sinuous’ on the label which gained support from Gorgon City, Eelke Kleijn and Nick Warren.

First heard on Anjunadeep 13, ‘Division’ opens the EP leading with cascading synths whilst Warung's second Anjunadeep 13 feature ‘Return To Place Called Home’ leads with a cinematic down-tempo intro. ‘Luminescence’ features a warm vocal sampler whilst EP closer ‘Want Me Want You’ leads with percussive-laden grooves and a male vocal. Warung’s latest showcases the duo’s chemistry as producers, and follows recent releases on labels including Colorize, W&O Street Records and Yoshitoshi records.

Hot off the record press, just in time to ring in the famous mobilee rooftop and pool season, Rodriguez Jr. cranks out a stellar four-track EP. 

Revolving around the beauty of the 133 is "Persistence Of Vision", a groovy and melodic little number wrapped in deep, soulful lyrics, customized to flow through the warm evening open air dance floors of Spain this summer. 

The Re.You remix of this utopian track speeds up the melodies just enough not to take away from the wonderfulness of it all. With some extra kinky sound gadgets sporadically added in, this jam can be worked in into any dancefloor set. 

On the flip side, "Mustang" tears it up with jumping keystrokes and faint background vocals while "Alderbaran" counteracts with cheerful xylophone taps battling with sinister vocal samples, harvesting an uplifting tune.

Early the next morning Laroz Camel Rider invited the Cows to spend that day in the desert, and on the next he would purchase the rave. He then led them out at one of the gates of the farm, to some magnificent sound palaces, to each of which belonged beautiful gardens (..)

PREMIERE: Laroz Camel Rider - Lafrik (Breger & Timboletti Remix) [Copycow]

Flitting effortlessly between genres, styles and tempos, Djuma Soundsystem and NenaHalena answer the call of the wild with Sagas of Iziki. 
Rim jhim sees lyrical fascinations from the Old World meet the modern sounds of the New World, laced with earthy percussion and accentuated with bird-like trills and thrills. 
Channeling the mystical vibe is Nangarin, dialing up hearty tribal beats and ritualistic vocal samples to create a musical fairy tale of melodic, deep tribal tech house. 
Maestro David Mayer needs no introduction. He lends his inimitable touch to Rim jhim, laying it down thick with euphoric exotica and a carnivalesque vibe. David only uses the vocal for effects, and focuses on the melodic sides of the original, and gives  good space for the moving organ. In his own words he says that "I produced this during the Covid 19 lock down, and cause of that it has a kind of gloomy dark appeal i suppose...". 

In the feedback, the djs have been all over this one, showering it with compliments. Some follow trends, others set them. Award-winning music producer & live performer Rodriguez Jr. also known as Olivier Mateu has spent 25 years in the industry. His vast experience in all genres of electronic music makes him the visionary of melodic house and techno that he is today.
Over the years he has gradually honed his style into the dynamic, colorful sound of beauty that can now be regularly found on Mobilee, Anjunadeep, Systematic, Armada and demanded for on remixes of Stephan Bodzin, Booka Shade, Eli & Fur, Röyksopp, NTO, Timo Maas and more.

Drawing inspiration for his live performances from the vintage synthesizers, keyboards and dusty analog gear of his studio in Paris, Rodriguez Jr. relishes the opportunity to travel the globe and realise his project on stage. In doing so he has amassed a devoted and loyal fan base through the creation of his unique movement. Some of the most recent acclaimed shows featured huge festival performances at Sziget (Hungary), Lightning in A Bottle and CRSSD (both California), Paraiso and Sonar Festival (both Spain). Continuing to blur the boundaries between electronic and organic like few others can, his extensive touring schedule sees Mateu at world-renowned clubs every week, taking him to the likes of Solumun’s party at Destino Ibiza, Fabric London and Space Miami.

Not stopping there, Rodriguez Jr. has formed a special musical partnership with former Nouvelle Vague vocalist Liset Alea. The pair met 15 years ago creating music for Laurent Garnier´s label, and through their ongoing live RJLA project, they tell sonic stories, fusing organic charms of live instrumentation with cutting-edge music for the dancefloor and presenting this at selected events. This culminated in an extraordinary audio/visual display for broadcast pioneers Cercle, with a unique performance at the carefully selected idyllic location of Falaises d’Etretat, showcasing their captivating live electronics.

On the production front, Mateu has continued to have an exceptional output, with his last release on Mobilee Radian entering the Beatport top ten within three days following release. Another highlight was his full Anjunadeep debut on the eclectic double-cut entitled Phoenix/Amargosa. Alongside this his remixes have also been received with equal merit on labels such as Crosstown Rebels, Systematic or Poker Flat. His latest reworking of Eli & Fur on Anjunadeep made it to number three of the Beatport melodic house & techno chart. On Spotify, his music reaches an audience of 625,000 listeners each month and continues to grow every week.
