So I’ve had this idea for years, and finally, it's coming to life, thru a release on Touched Music. I wanted to do something bigger with my musical power for a good cause. I have an amazing network of musical friends, and almost everybody I asked to get involved said yes. I just want to make a statement, we all have the power to do something good in this world, just think about it what it is for yourself and think of ways to make it happen.

3 years ago I adopted a Rottweiler from the shelter, he was in the shelter for 2 years. From all the dogs I took walks with I connected the most with him. And although he is a handful, I love him more than anything in the world. And it opened up my eyes even wider how I connect with them, mostly better than with humans.

I just love animals and dogs in particular. It was clear I wanted to pick a charity that helps dogs, nothing grabs me more by the throat than the horrific situation for dogs in the dog meat trade in Asia. I supported the soi dog foundation a couple of times already so this was a logical choice to focus on them. They do amazing stuff in the whole of Asia.

Mission Statement of soi dog: 
To improve the welfare of dogs and cats in Asia, resulting in better lives for both the animal and human communities, to create a society without homeless animals, and to ultimately end animal cruelty.

After travelling around the globe, Yorrick rediscovered a love for the Dutch language. Speurtocht roughly translates to scavenge hunt, 
but that doesn't quite capture the mystery and the sense of losing one-self on such a journey that the Dutch definition holds.
Music itself feels like this for him; an endless adventure with many different paths which ought to be explored.
Yorrick has been producing for over 13 years and slowly found his way into experimental dance music. 
He is moved by lush atmospheres, deep basses and grooves to shake your hips to.
Speurtocht is his outlet where he combines these three and turns them into different little adventures. 
His first EP 'Trails of Dance' is the start of his own 'speurtocht'.

Roel Funcken officially popped up on the scene in 2010, with his solo debut, titled Vade, out on Ad Noiseam. But fans of electronic music, and IDM in general, have been tracking this Dutch musician for over a decade prior, when, along with his brother, Don, the duo has released some of the genre defining music on labels such as Djak-Up-Bitch, Schematic, Sublight Records, Neo Ouija, n5MD , Arcola (Warp) as the one and only Funckarma. In 2009 the Funcken brothers kicked off their very own, digital-only, Funcken Industry imprint, which hosted a few of their other projects and offshoots, such as Shadow Huntaz, Scone, Quench, Automotive, and the latest from Roel's solo works. Roel continues to influence the evolution of music through numerous releases (Sapper Morton on Analogical Force, Semtinal Convex on Methlab and Prester Hynn on his own imprint to name a few) and active engagement in the community, with music festival curation, mixes on mixlr and soundcloud and weekly playlists on Soundcloud and spotify. Roel's music is advanced in sound design, often incorporating unique experimentation in electronic sound, with cut-up, twisted, atmospheric sonic soundscapes, leaving the cranium always begging for more. His ambient textures maintain a cinematic quality throughout, while his percussive arrangements retain a constantly mutating framework, always reconstructing its rhythm and structure, contradicting complex configurations and minimal design. im one half of funk and hip hop djs idle hands! we perform completely on vinyl over 4 turntables or as solo djs (we live quite far away from each other nowadays!) if its got a drum break we play it....  strictly vinyl and all 45s normally.  We've been playing music out at clubs like the big chill bar and the social for years and even festivals up north!
