Description: This song was a collaboration between the late decorated Vietnam veteran Matt Ktitzer and I. Matt wrote these lyrics to his girlfriend while he spent the night in a foxhole on a battlefield in Vietnam.

This is a song that I wrote in 1985 about spending the summers in Southern Ohio, in a village called Cheshire (population 700) that was right across the Ohio River from West Virginia. I spent the summers with my grandparents between the ages of 8 and 12.

One of my (now deceased) best friends, Matt Kritzer, wrote these lyrics about  returning home a "hero" from the jungles of Vietnam in 1969.

I wrote this one about waking up on top of the world and having an absolutely wonderful day for no apparent reason.

Well, of course, it was written while watching a beautiful sunset  and talking to the sun.
