Interview with Pauktaw Rohingya refugee regarding Rohingya Massacre by Rakhine Terrorists

I interviewed with a Rohingya from Maungdaw, the interview goes as follows: 
(Burma Time - 4:00pm) (14/1/2014)

Soe : Could you please tell me what happened in Kila Dong ( (Du Chee Yar Tan) village last night? It said 2 trucks of people were arrested and taken away; please tell us what happened there.

Rohingya from Maungdaw: Rakhines from Rakhine village and Hlun Thin (Police) came to the village to rob, as they have been persecuting us since long time ago, people from the village became impatient, some Rohingya came out of their houses, tried to defense, they fought, after that they blamed that Rohingya killed a police officer.
Soe: Is it a rumor that Rohingya killed a police officer and hide his weapon?
Rohingya from Maungdaw: Yes, they are blaming today, but that news is not true. They said a Hlun Taine(Police) was killed, his gun was hidden by Rohingya. They said they saw blood of his.
Soe: That’s a rumor, as they said you killed him and hide his weapon, right?
Rohingya from Maungdaw: Yes, it was a rumor, they spread the rumor to torture us, and Government has been planning to create such story since long time, they usually create the same ways.

Soe : What time did it happen?
Rohingya from Maungdaw: Night time,12:30 AM Soe : OK, Did they arrest any person?

Rohingya from Maungdaw: They said a police was missing, his name is Kyaw Sein Aung 
Soe: Who? Kyaw Soe Aung 
Rohingya from Maungdaw: Kyaw Sein Aung, a sergeant, Hlun Thin (police), some people from Gadusara village were also attacked.
Soe: How many people were arrested so far?
Rohingya from Maungdaw: 2 trucks of people were arrested.

Soe: Where did they bring those people?
Rohingya from Maungdaw: To the Maungdaw police station, 
Soe : Is there children and women?
Rohingya from Maungdaw: Yes, whoever they saw all including children and women
Soe : What kind of truck, were they, military truck?
Rohingya from Maungdaw: Yes, military trucks, big trucks.

Rohingya from Maungdaw: We can’t go there, we are trying to get more information, we will inform you if we get.

I interviewed with a Rohingya from Gudusara Village , the interview goes as follows:

SOE: Could you please tell about the event of Kiladong ?
Villager: Some Rakhine from Natala accompanied police came to the village (Kiladong) and beat some young (Rohingya) severely, when some people tried to defense, police shot, rape women.

SOE: I heard what you said. Now I want to know about the women whom were kept, raped and tortured, I heard 8 women were kept in a Rakhine village, could you please tell me about that in detail? 
Villager: A Rohingya from Salbonnya Fara (Zaw Ma thet) Village was brought to a Rakhine village as force labor by HlunTaine (Police), there he saw some women were kept ground floor of a Rakhine village, one of the lady told him from the hole of bamboo wall. She said “We were raped and tortured by the Rakhine, we, 8, girls were brought, the day before yesterday, 2 of us died because of rape and torture”

SOE: When did they die and when were they arrested?
Villager: They were arrested on 13.1.14, from Kiladong, carried 80 girls and women by truck and distributed them among the Rakhine villages.

SOE: From which village, were they arrested, from Kiladaong?
Villager: From Kiladong East.

SOE: Brought to which village, what is the name of Rakhine village? 
Villager: That Rakhine village locates east of Salbonnya Fara (Zaw Ma thet) Village, it is called Mya Waddy.

SOE: What is the name of the Rakhine village? 
Villager: Mya Waddy

SOE: What kind of Rakhine are they, were they born in Maungdaw, or from Natala, or came from Bangladesh?
Villager:  Those Rakhine are all came from Bangladesh, authority confiscated Muslims lands, and forced Muslims to build houses for them, 

SOE: According to you, 80 women were brought, divided, and distributed from the monastery, right? 
Villager:  Yes, Yes. 80 women were arrested and brought, 8 women were kept that village, 2 died, and the rest are raped and tortured day and night.

SOE: When did the 2 ladies died. How do you know that?
Villager: They died on 19.1.14, dead bodies were brought somewhere.

SOE: 19th right?
Villager: Yes,19th , 2 died, dead bodies were brought, the rest were raped and tortured, a person who is from Salbonnya Fara(Zaw Ma thet) Village, Hlun Tain (Police) brought him there as a force labor, he met the lady who told him the event. 

SOE: Where were those dead ladies brought? 
Villager: They said “Dead bodies were brought somewhere; we don’t know where they were brought?

SOE: Is there any news? How many ladies are kept in Rakhine villages?
Villager: Out of 80 women 6 are in Mya Waddy and the rest are in all Natala and Rakhine villages. They were provided to Rakhine terrorists who rape daily and torture them, some of them may die and some survive. People from Kiladong scattered, some became beggars, some died, and authority came and said they would provide everything but did nothing. They can’t get in the village. Authority spoke orally but people are starving and dying.

SOE: Some minister, authorized people, State Media went there, they said no one died in Kiladong, the World Media are lying, what do you know? How many people were killed by them? 
Villager: More than 200 were killed, many corpses were floated in river, children were thrown and killed brutally, at least 100 children were killed, many were seen by us, now all those corpses were brought somewhere by trucks, we heard some were buried in the mountain.

SOE: From which village are you talking now? 
Villager: I am in Gudusara we are hiding here, Hlun Taine (Police) are looking for us to arrest.

SOE: Insha-Allah, we will report the World, fight for justice for massacre of our brothers and sisters in Kiladong, do you have anything to share?
Villager: Rakhine Prime Minister and team came here yesterday (22.1.2014) , we all told them the detail event crying, after they left, National MRTV broadcasted today, no one died; nothing happened there, everything is in normal. They are lying, Government announcing false news, they are liars. Whatever news announces from TV are false, not true, they have been persecuting us. They tortured us a lot. 

SOE: Can people go to Kiladong? 
Villager: People are in fear, no one dare to go there because killing.

SOE: How many people were in Kiladong?
Villager: There were nearly 4000 people lived in Kiladong.

SOE: Do have anything to say?
Villager: People of Kiladong who survive are suffering a lot, they are starving now, and the villages where they are hiding are also very poor villages. How can people go to Kiladong, all their properties including cattle, were taken away by HlunTaine and Rakhine .There is nothing left in the village, when Minister team came, that certain time, even in front of them Rakhine were carrying our properties, they saw that but they are lying now. All properties were brought by trucks.

SOE: How can we save those women kept in the Rakhine villages?  Government announced no one died, no one was killed. How can we help?
Villager: We beg you to tell the World to send international Media here, International force here to save, they are killing us, will kill us continuously, they are torturing us , please help us, please help us, we hope you could do something. 

SOE: So sorry. We will try our best.
Villager: They will kill us, they will kill us, please help us, our women were brought and raped, we are not allowed to go there and see, Government is doing, police are doing.

SOE: Yes, Government is doing everything 
Villager: Police are torturing us, 80 of our ladies are being tortured, please help us, they will kill us. 

SOE: How’s situation of Maungdaw now.
Villager: Very bad, we are blocked, no one can go out, if they see any man in the street, arrest them and torture, we are not allowed to go from one village to another, no right for work, all man are in danger, whenever they see any man arrest, I would like to request International Media to come and see what’s going on here.
