Natural Architecture moves the Frond sound into more rich and rhythmic territory than Frond's previous work. This piece still employs field recordings, home made textures and the idiosyncratic slow reveal, but really lets the synth do the talking. This tracks celebrates the inspiration that remote natural environments have on the human experience.

Krystian Shek's newest full-length album 'Suddenly', is an opus that is as futuristic as it is celestial and tribal. Sweeping melodies rise and soar while rhythms resonate heavily through meaningful and moving chords. It explores spacious atmospheres with brief field recordings and dub laden beats that support a very airy and flighty sounds of rapturous melodies and spiritual offerings. Showcasing seven pieces of futuristic themes, 'Suddenly' these exudes a deft touch with processed production where layers are too many to be counted while remnants of rhythm show themselves more after multiple listens. 
 
Krystian Shek has been releasing music for almost 30 years now and you can find a cornicopia of various styles and genres under his name which shows off his versatility. 'Suddenly', features a few of the genre's he is most known for the past decade in ambient and dub. But again, he finds inspiration in a multitude of other subgenres such as drone, soundtrack, field recording and dub techno. Released on the fantastic Italian label Rohs! Records, this album is sure to stir up an emotional response from everyone who hears it.
 
'Sunday Morning' opens up the album with and not only set's the mood but introduces you to the space within. Peaceful water ambience which quickly fades after the first chord wash. This track is drenched in dub and melodic elements which crystalize and reverberate throughout the sound spectrum. A euphoric feeling elevates as the track expands into an airy atmosphere of gentle calmness.
The title track 'Suddenly', harkens back to Krystian's trance background with a blissful buildup up and break that sounds like one part Oliver Lieb and one part Wolfgang Voigt. Mesmerizing and groundbreaking, this dub expose is sure to grab people's attention. A unique and successful union not just only of styles but of energy, direction and what is possible breaking through any dub parameters. And if that rack didn't push the boundaries enough for you, then '[Dub]ai' surely will. What starts off with dialogue in the airport with gate flight announcement recordings soon dumps you into an amazing boundless stratosphere with a wicked beat. It doesn't end there as angelic voices echo out to an amazing peak. Truely, a shimmering work by Krystian. One of those early picks for best track on the album from those who have heard the early sessions. 'Probably' builds off that momentum with another heavy and menacing dub bassline that feature some far reaching chords and soaring melody off in the distance. 'Among Them' is a cinematic opera into the future which certainly culls Vangelis-type vibes ala Blade Runner. Coming in at over 9 minutes in length, this epic piece is the backbone of the album's overall feel. A soaring piece of space music that is as moving as it is triumphant. 'Here for you' is perhaps the most moving piece on the album and it is sheer goosebump material. An amazing soundtrack for a post-apocalyptic world who regrets human kind's decisions. A tear jerking and emotional piece that wins over your heart and your ears. Lastly, 'Remained' is a gentle outro
that encapsulates the overall mood of the album. Powerful, visual, imaginative and dynamic. To just categorize this as an ambient or dub album would truly be an understatement. A sonic exploration into dub with a sci-fi storyline might be a bit more accurate description but even that short changes it.
'Suddenly' is a remarkable and life-changing listen. Available on CD and digital with cover artwork featuring an image of the exclusive for this release oil on canvas painting by Brenda Rodriguez.

Golden Leaf is the 19th album by the Italian experimental band Larsen here exploring free-form sounds and spatial dynamics by real-time composing and creating a sonic and social environment.  It also confirms the love and interest the band has for collaborations as ongoing dialogues and portals to new paths.

 This album documents a four-hour site-specific performance by Larsen and Alessandro Sciaraffa featuring interactive sound totems designed by Alessandro Sciaraffa and exclusive food creations by chef Gabriele Gatti. The performance took place at a secret location in Torino (Italy) in 2021 and was meant as an alchemical rite with the audience as an integral part of it. It was recorded and then edited and assembled into two pieces by long-time collaborator, sound engineer, solo musician Paul Beauchamp.

Everyday life is often filled with many small anxieties that we deal with by simply pretending they do not exist.
Sometimes they thicken beyond the horizon of our field of vision, turning into a sense of impending danger, a floating leviathan, an immense bird of prey hiding in the clouds above the skyscrapers ready to grab us. Our only defence is to try to ignore it, hoping that oblivion will slowly devour it, relegating it to another plane of existence.

And sometimes, it is simply like dreaming of suffocating...

Glåsbird’s travelogue of sound advances further, with this seventh edition in the series heading to warmer, more exotic climes. The A Sonic Expedition series is this anonymous artist’s armchair exploration of the world around us and it has to date put down roots in Greenland, Svalbard, Norway, Novaya Zemlya, Siberia and the Himalayas. With this latest excursion, the snowy, treacherous peaks of Everest are traded for the tropically vast Pacific Ocean.

As fans of the artist will already be aware, Glåsbird researches each geographic location with great intrigue and fascination, scouring Google Earth satellite imagery, watching documentaries, reviewing vintage maps and reading articles about its history and culture. Whilst the enormity of this ocean was obvious from looking at the globe, what became apparent was the scale of diversity across the thousands of islands in the region, whether it be the landscapes, culture or even the rare species of bird. Studying history revealed some dark tales, of challenging sea voyages, crocodiles and even cannibalism. As always, it also gave the artist opportunity to make new discoveries, such as how atolls are formed from ancient volcanoes and theories on how the Moai of Easter Island were moved across the landscape.

Glåsbird felt that their now signature modern classical style needed to change for this record, as these ambient portraits of the Pacific offer surely the most adventurous sound to date from this artist. Percussive rhythms were carved out of cheap percussion instruments, exotic polyrhythms glisten alongside sounds of rolling ocean waves and the thriving nature scenes. Sun bleached tape decays atop warm, ebbing bass and synth tones.

In Pacifica, Glåsbird traces a set route from one island to the next, marked by each track on the album. It begins with a view of La Perouse Pinnacle from inside the French Frigate Shoals. This pillar of rock has been known to cause shipwrecks and general confusion amongst seafarers who’d mistaken it for a ship when seen from distance. The journey continues many miles of sea south, to the triangular shaped Kingman Reef before heading off to explore the lake in the middle of Washington Island, also known as Teraina. The journey heads a long way across the ocean in an easterly direction, to the Galápagos Islands and then onto the remote Easter Island, home of the Moai stones. The next leg of the journey returns in a westerly direction, arriving at Mangareva which is the main part of the Gambier Islands. The French Polynesian paradise island of Bora Bora follows, before a stop at the small wooded island of Tafahi in Tonga. Inyeug, the most northerly island of Vanuatu is the next destination, famed for Queen Elizabeth II’s visit back in 1974. The tempo of the percussive loops notches up a little, as the next track represents the Solomon Islands and then this tour ends on the island of Yap, with echoes of Yapese rituals and lapping ocean waves closing the final piece which is called Rumung.

'Divide' is a wound, a gash in the earth, a chasm within which sound currents - previously flowing placidly to the surface - plummet. 
The effect is disruptive, it is like a clash of sounds or more precisely a collision of musical worlds. 
It is a dizzying fall into an abyss that tears two environments apart.
But this is precisely the place where the electric and acoustic sounds of Roberto Galati’s and Federico Mosconi's guitars tangle, in an impervious and not easy context, mostly unexpected. 
This place is a source of inspiration; the beginning of a new and transformed source.
Torn from their environment, the sounds mix. 
They are caught in the chasm and ruinously collide and split. 
But at some point they reassemble, the upheaval subsides and changes its appearance.
Blue is the colour of calm, of emotional serenity, of harmony and of a found balance. 
Blue is the hue that gives colour to the ocean, to steel and to cobalt. 
It evokes the Arctic, as well as a sea and space. 
It tastes electric and ultramarine. 
An assortment and a richness of shades are created in the chasm; making theirs way beyond its boundaries, they can spread freely. 
It is a stream of sounds that is not always reassuring; it is coarse yet polished. 
Its thousand rivulets propagate with a flow at once mild and unruly, ideally calm like the endless space and impetuous like the ocean.
'Divide' is a fracture that abruptly and furiously unites.
