Paul Vass, professionally known as WHY💤 (WHY Sleep), is a House DJ and producer who has made significant contributions to the Electronic Dance Music community in cities such as Charlotte, North Carolina, Las Vegas, Nevada, and Seattle, Washington. His passion for music, which began in 1998, has driven WHY💤 to dedicate himself to his craft, honing his skills and establishing a strong presence in the local music scene. 

       Between 2012 and 2015, he became a regular performer at some of the premier clubs in Charlotte, North Carolina, and emerged as a key figure in the city's underground music scene. Currently revitalizing his career in Southwest Florida, WHY💤 has quickly risen in his profession, performing at esteemed venues such as Saigon Blonde, TK Lounge, and The Warehouse. Additionally, he has had the honor of being invited to perform at four different festivals, including Woodkey Fest, The Cannabis Awards, and Essential Freaks Season 3.

After discovering the scene in Charlotte the late 90's, I soon purchased a set of DJ in a box belt driven tables and started to learn the craft.  That progressed to learning Serato on vinyl and then controllers until finally CDJs.

Most of my mixes end up being drum and bass, but will have breaks and house in there too.  I like most anything with a nice bass beat.
