Unsere Lieblinge Geju sollten uns eigentlich mit einem speziellen Podcast beglücken. Dies musste aber erst Mal auf Eis gelegt werden, denn die beiden Musiker sind momentan sehr gefragt. Zudem werden Sie bald neue Produktionen veröffentlichen, die es in sich haben.

Als 'Entschädigung' erhielten wir ihr Live-Set vom diesjährigen Mayan Warrior Camp. Say what? Ich bin beim Hören nicht mehr aus dem Grinsen herausgekommen und hoffe, dass es euch mindestens genauso gut gefällt, wie mir. Passend zu den letzten Sonnenstrahlen des Jahres 'schwooft' das Set gemächlich und mit einer Menge Leichtigkeit über die auditiven Felder unseres Bewusstseins. Wahrlich zum Verlieben. Übrigens sind in dem Set schon mehrere Neuerscheinungen enthalten...

Ich wusste nicht, wie ich das nennen sollte, und ich weiß es auch heute noch nicht, vielmehr ich kann nicht bestimmen, inwieweit das an der Stimme lag oder an etwas Wichtigerem, das unmittelbar aus dem Herzen quillt, das die Kraft hat, in anderen die gleiche Erregung auszulösen. ... Mir erschienen auf einmal all seine seltsamen Gewohnheiten, die bei den Leuten Unverständnis und Spott hervorriefen - seine Verträumtheit, seine Neigung zur Einsamkeit, seine Schweigsamkeit -, in einem anderen Licht. Ich wusste jetzt, warum er abendlang auf dem Wachthügel saß, warum er die Nächte einsam am Fluß verbrachte, warum er ständig nur ihm wahrnehmbaren Klängen nachlauschte und warum seine Augen zuweilen aufloderten und die Brauen sich plötzlich erwartungsvoll hoben. Das war ein Mensch, der eine tiefe Liebe in sich trug. Keine Liebe, das fühlte ich, wie man sie für einen anderen empfindet, sondern eine weit größere, die Liebe zum Leben, zur Erde. Ja, er verwahrte diese Liebe in sich, in seiner Musik, er lebte durch sie."

Perfectly in tune with the summer season upon us, Islandman presents a refreshing sound from the shores of the Black Sea with this splendid sunny mix. Originally from Turkey, this brilliant producer started out at a young age and made his way in music by playing a traditional long-necked lute known as a saz. It’s thanks to this early relationship with music that Islandman developed the technique and feeling needed to handle farfetched rhythms, sounds and chants inspired by the flowering cultures of the Mediterranean Basin and beyond to blend them with mastery in his tracks and mixes. This eclecticism and understanding of music has helped him put together a wide range of melodies and musical styles which extend from enchanting edits of traditional Bulgarian sounds to smooth balearic disco. His mix is exciting and mesmerising, catching the mind in a gentle twine of melodies and rhythms. His perfect balance of percussions and electronic beats shakes and ripples throughout the track, and lifts you with ecstatic vibes. The mix goes on in a beautifully arranged journey set by the pace of your own inner dance, as if the concept of time ceases to exist and it’s just you and the music. " Ahoy! I'm living at the baltic sea coast in germany and since my childhood i'm playing the saxophone in several live combos. But a decade ago I also fell in love with electronic music.
