Anticlub and Lessismore head honcho Gideon, has been around since the early 90s yet still lives for music 24 hours a day. Running Lessismorecordings and labels like Grayarea, Anticlub and Minimalplus are just some  his favourite past times. Yet producing, recording, spinning, selling and above all, loving music is what keeps him ticking. 

The Dutchman has notched up an impressive discography with over a 100 released tracks under his different alter egos Gideon, The Economist and G. Early. 

Continually setting the standard higher and higher has seen him get booked at Bergain/Ostgut (Berlin), Tresor (Berlin), Flex (Vianna), Arm17 (Moscow), One (Mardid), Awakenings Festival (Holland), Extrema Outdoor Festival (Holland). 

2008 saw him release on big international record labels such as Kanzleramt (Berlin) and Sino (Hong Kong) followed by a complete artist album.

His debut and conceptual album NoNameNoFaceNoNumber was already released on his own label Lessismore in 2007, where he showed a new approach to dubby techno and sequential composition. 

The DJ sets he plays under his own name Gideon are techno oriented and memorable for playing the new unreleased material and things to come from the several labels he runs and supports. He combines the expected with the unexpected, monotone grooves with melodic revelations, rawness with sophistication and modern minimalism with old school renaissance.

It’s been a while since we released a V/A on Noir Music and I only ever compile them whenever I feel I have 5-6 tracks that stand out.

Dark Stars Volume 4 has been 6 months in the making and yes..... I know I am picky with the music I sign. I hear that on an almost daily basis.
But even though I could pick music from many different artists it still took me months of compiling, testing the music in clubs and at festivals and then putting together the tracks I felt stood out and complimented each other.

The great thing about V/A’s is that you get the chance to put together a release from artists with completely different sounds and ideas.
Although the sound of Dark Stars Volume 4 is quite minimal sounding overall, it still reflects musicality and great in-depth productions by skillful and experienced artists.
Another great thing about Volume 4 is that these are all artists who make their debut on Noir Music.

I truly love playing every single track from this release and I enjoy watching the crowds reactions around the globe.
I feel no need to get deeper into detail about the specific tracks, as the music will speak for itself.

This first Spirit Train experience of ours was actually 3 years in the making and, as fate would have it, from every perspective, all the elements came together to make it pure magic.

As Burn virgins, we arrived wide-eyed and bushy tailed, finally, getting to lay eyes (and ears) on the beast that is LOBO (what a beautiful creature it is).

When stepping aboard knew we were home.

The (relatively) warm, windless night and even the delays in operations on the Wednesday, all seemed to play in our favour. A later start in the small hours of Thursday morning meant meeting the challenge of keeping the light-dancers entertained and lift their energy or risk losing them to the darkness of the night (and sleep).

LUPIS and LOBO, arranged to work in unison to encapsulate and mesmerize in invisible amphitheater, demanded it.

Musically our intent was to merge our personal tastes and do our best to fill the playa with sound. Having its tendrils reach out and, hopefully, draw people towards the light.

On a personal level, as DJs and a couple, this set was all the more poignant. Life and travels mean that this will likely have been the last of our infamous back2back sets.

So we wanted to go out with a bang...

When the sound engineer came up and whispered that he was entrusting us with "all the headroom" and we saw the hard-working Spirit Train crew squeezing the last of their juice to have a little sesh and the countless, dusty smiles getting their rave on, we realised, with great gratitude and humility, that we would share in a priceless magical moment, one that marked a new experience for us and also a perfectly fitting send off and end of an era.

We hope this mix continues to bring as much joy as it did out on the playa.

On top of that @gerragmusic came through Kotoe into our lives during the Brasil Tour and so he was the logical choice for the remix.

@lellofuscodj  - Lello Fusco is an italian Dj and producer based in Naples. He started playing records in the 90s and has a background based on funk, disco and jazz music. Over the years he has gone through house music, deep house, tech house with a very personal style. Currently he plays and produces downbeat, tropical house, electro-world, deep-ethno. Recently he has releases on Shango records, Lump records, Kosá Records. This is the second release on Ohxala Records.

Jungle Fever is the new EP of Lello Fusco on ohxalá Records. This EP is made of 2 tracks. Jungle Fever gives the name to this EP and the 4/4 groove skillfully blends with soft sounds and ethnic vocals. A remix by Jack Essek is present in the EP.
The second track contains a guitar as the main element around which all the groove is built. The EP contains a remix of South Soul by Tribu Oro.

This is the first Music4Aliens Podcast of the year, the first of the new series. We start with Rosper, well known spanish minimal techno dj/producer. One our of great minimal and techno. Enjoy!

Bio:
Emilio Rozalen aka Rosper, born in Spain in September 1988, is a DJ and producer of electronic music influenced by Dark Minimal and Techno sounds.
He pushed himself into electronic music production in 2010, but it was in 2014 when he took his current name and entered in top 100 minimal of Beatport with his first release as "Rosper" in one of the most shaped labels of Techno music, Stick Recordings.
He already has numerous references, among them his several releases by SCI+TEC, of which one of them has been able to publish in physical format with his track 'Revenge'. Collaborations and
remixes with artists such as Alberto Ruiz, Miro Pajic or Maksim Dark among others, they place it as one of the Dark Techno and Minimal producers with most proyection of Spain, counting with the support of Dubfire or Nicole Moudaber among others in his numerous performances worldwide.
Rosper has performed in various clubs and festivals in Spain, Germany and India including Drop (Mumbai), Freqs Of Nature (Berlin) Pacha (Barcelona) or Barraca (Valencia), club count with him from several years ago. Therefore, he has extensive experience in the booths.
In short, we might say that Rosper has a style that leaves no one indifferent and is currently in top moment.

It’s near impossible for anyone who regularly frequents outdoor festivals / events in the (+27) SA area code to be unfamiliar, whether by knowledge or hearsay, with the near iconic name SAAI.
A constant and ever present figure in one way or another, be it knowledge or hearsay, since embracing the PSY- Culture in 2003. Her versatility in sounds and track selection combined with an excellent eye for reading the floor, has made her an almost indispensable slot to ensure the success of a line-up.
From humble beginnings as a regular djane at Getafix to gracing the stages of South Africas top Psytrance Productions including Alien Safari, Nano Origin, Vortex, as well as further inland to Johannesburg and Mozamboogy. Her love for all things green and outdoorsy ensures her strong support and following up the Garden Route as well. 
Saai branched out to the techno scene to expand her craft with the same approach she did psytrance, feeling her audience out over sticking to a tracklist. A firm believer of energy  and intention, she has inspired many young producers to embrace their talents and fuel them with passion. Known for her extensive music collection spanning across genres and BPM, the harmonic melodies she weaves into her event opening performances can metamorphasize into dirty filthy baselines and drops in a single swipe of the cross fader, theres no timeslot she cant play.  
Saai's following has grown steadily over the years, mainly  due to this artists belief that to play for a dancefloor one must understand a dancefloor, it's dynamics, and the journey needed to guide the patrons in the right Psy way. Every dancefloor is different,  Saai is one of very few artists who can always be found both pre and post set, in the middle of the crowd dancing hard and giving it horns, in not only support for her fellow artists but method research to enable a smooth crossover wherever she finds herself on the line-up.
