Kendrick Washington aka "Chief" was born and raised in Aurora, Colorado, birthday on May 9, 1992. Chief started his music career in December 2007 with a group he joined named "Bone Deep" with artist Cazpa, JayTriiiple, & SCK. Eventually the group split and Chief began his journey. Not taking music serious until after he graduated from Rangeview High School in 2010. Chiefs biggest musical accomplishments are being featured on Coast 2 Coast mixtapes hottest in Colorado Vol. 1 & 2. His journey has only begun be on the lookout for more great music from ths young Denver native.

The last time I saw this girl was around this time last year.  She wore a wide smile, eyes beaming with positivity. I know now more than ever, it's often hard to see past the exterior of a person into what's really going on inside. 
A few weeks after I heard from a friend that after battling her addiction for over two years, she had relapsed; stealing money from family and friends, living in a homeless hostel. I haven't heard anything since. 
In the past eighteen months i've lost five people as a result of alcohol and drug abuse. 
I wrote this when I was hurting after I heard the news about one friend who died at the beginning of this year.
I miss you all. Rest in peace.

This year I'm celebrating 25 years of professional DJing, I've decided to put together a mix every month this year featuring  one or two of my favorite cuts from each year in order leading up to 2012. The first one is late....but i've been busy. I often find myself questioning why I'm still wasting time doing this shit, but when i go back and play some of these tracks it reminds me. I performed this mix live on B-Real's "meditation" show (Breal.TV) December 30th 2011 as my last set of the year.
