Pär Grindvik has been a central figure in the Swedish electronic scene since the 90s as record store owner, label manager and producer. In his artistic career Pär has released music across a plethora of acclaimed electronic labels, including a string of hits on his own Stockholm LTD imprint as well as Drumcode, with frequent collaborator Hardcell. Pär’s recent output has seen him contribute music to labels such as Semantica, Marbacka, Sinister and Dystopian.

Founded in 2002, Stockholm LTD began as an outlet for singles and EPs from Swedish artists with a focus on releasing timeless electronic music. It has since developed into a hallmark for finely crafted electronic music from a range of international artists.

Over the past two decades Pär’s involvement with the electronic music community has branched out across the globe. Openly passionate about supporting underground talent, Pär works closely with an ever-expanding repertoire of labels and artists.

As a DJ Pär tours the world, transporting his deft and uniquely dynamic DJ sets to techno fans internationally and on a weekly basis. His worldwide popularity as a performer stems not only from his skill and versatility but also as a result of the energy he puts into every performance. It's this combination that enables him to bring the heat to the best clubs in the world.

Pär continues to serve as one of the most exciting and hardworking contributors to the scene.  Every inch of Pär’s work, including labels, artwork, release info and music, is wrapped with heart and emotion, a quality which keeps the sparkle and curiosity alive within the ever changing adaptations of the artistic world.

Known foremost as Vampire Weekend's bass player, Baio has been filling his desire to form his own individual voice outside of his Grammy-winning band. This September marks Baio's latest self-exploration, with his first full-length solo album out via Glassnote, The Names.

Now, it's prominent producer and Life & Death label founder, DJ Tennis' turn to breathe new life into Baio's established sound. Tennis serves up a techno-focused take on "All the Idiots". For 8.5 minutes, we let Tennis take us on a journey, dominated by inverted chord progressions and squelchy acid sounds, all placed alongside the glitter-like qualities that Tennis' own music is well known for.

Originally released on the Lithuanian imprint in April of this year the three track offering from the Slovakian producer has been a highlight in the labels catalogue. Now we see Suffused Music inviting the talents of Daraspa, Rasti Tkac and Stereo For Two to rework the project.

The third and final interpretation is provided by Stereo For Two who are making their third appearance on Suffused Music. Tim Verhees and Joris Bylemans make up the Stereo For Two production team and currently reside in Antwerp, Belgium. The duo have built an incredible discography over the course of their three and a half year partnership. In addition to quality outings on Suffused; Baroque Records and Bonzai Records have also showcased music from the talented artist duo. For their third and most anticipated release on Suffused Music Stereo For Two have reworked Ri Za’s ‘My Mind’ in exceptional fashion. With a deep and dreamy approach, Stereo For Two have re-visited the much loved pixie days of progressive house, all while provided their own modern twists. A kaleidoscopic sequence of keys takes you on a wonderful journey throughout, while the distinctive vocal elements deliver that all important soulful element to solidify the great vibe. Wonderful remix from Stereo For Two and a superb remix EP from Suffused Music, who may have delivered one of their most impressive releases of the year here.

Isle of Real's theme is of spaces once inhabited, long since abandoned and reclaimed by the creep of nature.

The ten-track album is the first full-length release for an internationally renowned producer and label owner who has been creating and releasing music for over twenty years.

Isle of Real was written whilst on the road over several months. Nomadic writing sessions on planes and in hotel rooms lead to a collection of demos. These demos later took form in the studio of friend and peer Peder Mannerfelt, where a four day recording session in Stockholm shaped the spine of the album, with Mannerfelt acting as recording assistant. This sharing of resources also resulted in contributions from Roll the Dice on the album’s title track.

As an electronic music devotee who began his artistic career as the owner of a record store in his home town of Stockholm in the 90s, Pär Grindvik has been exploring the world of electronic music for two decades, a history audible on this release. Here Grindvik has gone back to the early UK and US techno labels which formed him as an artist; labels like Evolution, Fragile, Transmat, Network, Rising High and Irdial-Discs.

Isle of Real traverses deliberately between scenes of delicate electronica, tracks like ‘Never Give In’, 'Shine’ and 'Shelter', through into uptempo techno tracks like ‘Limits of Real’, ‘Holy Nothing’ and the anthemic ‘The Marlton’. Dark pools of ambience ‘Isle of Real’ and ‘Tide us Part’ bind the LP, whilst 'Headland' and 'Changes' build upon timeless techno blueprints.

As a body of work Isle of Real demonstrates Grindvik’s talent for melody, bearing hooks which thread through the LP, from its plains to its peaks, and which betray the producer’s mythical influences.

The composition is made for a compilation on Life And Death, focusing on the types of music, which the artists on that record usually don`t produce. I was recording that track during a late night chilling with my friends. The bell sounds were recorded from the glasses with cold drinks we were having that night. You need a good bass response on your soundsystem, to fully enjoy the track.
