'Crazy Eyes,' the new record from multiplatinum industrial alternative luminary group Filter comes from a place of deconstruction. 

As a nod to Filter’s debut, 'Short Bus,' the forthcoming release (and Filter’s seventh full-length), 'Crazy Eyes' [Wind-up Records] eschews the signature wall of guitars heard on their last release ('The Sun Comes Out Tonight') and breathes with a stark, industrialized menace that’s equally haunting and hypnotic. 

Richard completely immersed himself in the process after getting off the road in support of 2013’s 'The Sun Comes Out Tonight'—which moved over 8,500 copies first-week, 10 million streams to date and a Top 13 radio track with “What Do You Say.” The record gained critical acclaim, garnering attention from Loudwire, Hollywood Reporter, Fader, Rolling Stone, Blabbermouth and also landing high-profile commercial syncs including Diablo 3 (“Burn It”) and WWE (“What Do You Say” & “Burn It”). Their brooding cover of The Turtles’ classic, “Happy Together” was featured in the trailer for Baz Luhrmann’s 2012 The Great Gatsby.

For this new endeavor, Richard collaborated with old friends such as the man behind 1999’s seminal platinum-certified Title of Record, producer Ben Grosse [Thirty Seconds To Mars, Marilyn Manson], and Michael “Blumpy” Tuller [Nine Inch Nails]. He also worked closely with new band mates Oumi Kapila [guitar, programming], Ashley Dzerigian [bass], Chris Reeve [drums], and Bobby Miller [keyboards], and former Filter bandmates, Johnny Radke and Danny Lohner. Mixed by Brian Virtue (Janes Addiction, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Deftones) and mastered by Howie Weinberg (Van Halen, Mars Volta, The White Stripes).

Ultimately, 'Crazy Eyes' comes back to the fact that Richard remains honest. “I’m completely into this for the music,” he leaves off. “Being yourself is the most important thing. I authentically went places I’d never gone before. That was from my heart. I’m trying to be as genuine as possible to what Filter is. It’s about sounding fucking different, forward, and original.”

	Not many bands can handle the difficulties of being part of Baltimore's large and diverse music scene, Roll It Over was formed from the ashes of several of Maryland's fine acts. To be able to find the right group of people create music that inspires and connects with the audience is an incredible thing. Formed in April of 2011, Roll It Over immediately began constructing songs comprised of big choruses and catchy guitar riffs. With the sound that takes it's influences from 70's arena rock, 80's progressive music, and 90's alternative rock, the band has worked hard to build a sound that is unique, yet easily accessible.

	The band, though suffering many line-up changes, still managed to build a fan base though out the Mid-Atlantic region and has shared the stage with many well known acts like Saving Abel, 12 Stones, Hurt, Smile Empty Soul, and Taproot. The band finally found their line-up in Spring 2012. With the line-up set, the band went into the studio to record their debut EP 'Dawning on the Red Streets' which was released in January 2013.

	The EP, which was recorded at Fairgreen Studio, features 5 songs written by the bands current line-up. Each song was carefully constructed to create atmosphere and feeling, which can be felt through the melodic vocal and guitar arrangements, and the raw energy provided by the bands powerful rhythm section. That, coupled with hard work of producers Kenny Kingsborough and Brian Melvin, led to what the band feels is their finest work to date.

	The band strives to create powerful, catchy music that everyone can be immersed in. It's easy to be labeled as a certain genre but Roll It Over aims to bend those rules and incorporate any and all styles of music into it's ever-growing sound. With tour dates lined up though out Spring and Summer 2013, and a full length album in the works, Roll It Over is force to be reckoned with.

Hailing from Baltimore, MD, The Purge Effect is a melting pot of influences, defying genres and uncompromising in its delivery. Born out of a set of home-recorded demos, the band is frontman E. David Nazario's brainchild. A self-taught multi-instrumentalist and sound engineer, David was looking for a different sound that would suit his tastes, looking to his much loved influences Deftones and Depeche Mode for inspiration and uniqueness. The lineup is rounded out by the powerful rhythm section of Charles Nunn on bass and Tito Perez on drums, and the guitar assault of Bill Pabst.

The result is a powerful melange of rock sounds fused to a big-chorus pop sensibility and the open-hearted lyrical appeal of singer-songwriter fare.

The Purge Effect has, in their short existence, already made a name for themselves in the Baltimore rock scene, opening for national acts Hurtsmile, Smile Empty Soul, Hurt, Taproot, and 10 Years. In 2013 they released their debut album, Sounds of a Storm Coming, and they're getting ready to release two EP's, Wood (with acoustic renditions of their most popular tracks), and Hemispheres, a heavier, more experimental collection of songs.
