Around 1981 i met Sasa Crnobrnja aka Cosmic Rocker, he's younger than me and i was impressed by his wide musical knowlegde (and stylish outfitt to)... 1995 i visit Sasa in NewYorkCity...one evening (Sasa plays at XVI), always searching for decent coffee i see a huge italian coffeemachine and there was Mauro/Moreno Visini aka Zeb aka Zebda-The spy from Cairo working and he serve my the best espresso a had in NY the whole time. He tells me he was a musician, plaiyng guitars and love Funk & Reggae. I got Sasa there and i introduced both of them.. the rest is history  ;)

M A X  •  W E D E K Ä M P E R (@maxwede) (Hamburg | GER) - is originally from Bremen but has been living in Hamburg for almost 10 years now. The 29-year-old music promoter has always had a hand in the music bizz: He started off by organizing electronic and artsy events with his hometown collective “Kleinerdrei”, he hosted the “Crate Cravings” series in Hamburg feat. artists like Carl Craig, DJ Boring, Max Graef and worked for Diynamic Music (a Hamburg based label feat. Solomun, Stimming, Kollektiv Turmstraße etc.). 

We’re glad Max finally feels drawn towards genres like disco, italo, afro, brazil & house - which brings him to us. The techno market is swamped, he says, and ambitious as he is, he’s now planning a disco/house event series rolling all over Germany where he wants to show off international artists as well as locals and newcomers. An inspiring plan that we as a collective and musical platform most certainly support. 

But now let us give MAX the spotlight for a while. For us he’s recorded a sun-drenched mix of drums, sounds and warm colors. A great soundtrack for a careless summer getaway, a holiday ride on the Vespa, an hour spent at the lake side. Especially after a long and exhausting lockdown phase - we could all need a sweet escape. So let’s dance, let’s dance away.

This healing journey was recorded in August 2020 at a small indoor/outdoor festival at Golden Bay's Autumn Farm. There's a few new and old favourites mixed up in here. Dubby cuddle vibes meander into weird deepness, tribal drums high-five rocky guitars...dreamy dancemoves on a moonlit floor, bodies spinning to folky 4/4 and restrained disco-y basslines.

Once again a great chance to showcase the full spectrum of music that makes up what Delusional Disco Drongos are all about, wholesome, loving vibes and smiling faces.
