Mortitia emerged in the early nineties to become part of a definite movement in music.  A hard edged raw music scene was pushing glam out of Hollywood.   The Whiskey, Roxy, and a number of other venues became conduit to a number of bands that have achieved success and an even longer list of those that did not.  Snot, Korn, The Deftones, System of a Down, Coal Chamber, and a long list of great bands shared a stage at one time with the hard working suburban quartet Mortitia.  Other notable acts that Mortitia opened for are Incubus, The Genitortururs, Life of Agony, Strife, Brother Vibe, Manhole, S.T.S., Hed (pe), Sublime, etc.....The band has reconnected to bring the wanting listener back to a time when all that mattered was that you leave everything behind.

Shamans and Smyths is a four-piece Hip-Hop group/band representing out of Long Beach, California. Consisting of an M.C., D.J., Bass and Drums, the group also incorporates a variety of musical samples via M.P.C., as well as various percussion instruments. This musical lineup, unique for the Hip-Hop genre, allows for a dynamic and original sound that is coupled by vocalist Z's vivid and erudite lyrics and poetry that range in theme from community building and socio-political consciousness to classical mythology and literature. Still relatively new upon the scene, Shamans and Smyths are quickly establishing a reputation as a must-see live act.
