The wonderfully worldly Swiss collective Sirens Of Lesbos turned heads with the sublime disco of recent single ‘Zeus’ earlier this year, making for one of their strongest releases yet. The track quickly shot to over 100,000 plays on Spotify, and now a clutch of new remixes arrive to fan its flames once more.

Shy One goes into deeper, broken beat territory punctuating the loose bass groove with stuttering drum hits and chattering snares that combine to create something that wouldn’t have felt amiss on DJ Mehdi’s ‘Lucky Boy’ album.

Premiere: Huge Jackman & Local Support 'Ethereal Cereal'

Some were straight and abhorrent whilst others were rugged and disorganised, cluttered like etched shapes upon a bumpy rock. These were the lines of his youth, each told a story of something from his past and if you followed it from end to end you might just weave far enough to find yourself back at the start. Out here in the middle of the rocky outback there were lines and stories to be found everywhere. You simply had to read between them all and follow suit. 

Sketchy Lines is a newly launched project based in Brussels, described as a multi gender project the imprint is focussed on graphic design, experimental music and collaboration. The first release comes from label founder Salah, an intriguing record which shows signs of promise for the future of the label.

She walked through the supermarket, paying cursory attention to odd items, bits and bobs. It was all here - marketed and sold under one roof, it was everything you might ever need in life. Some of it was mysterious and unknown, other items were more obvious in their use. This was capitalism at it's finest, roll up and spend your last pennies as you glide through the shiny, linoleum paradise. Music chirped and chimed through tinny speakers as she danced in the supermarket on her way to kingdom come... 

How have they pulled this one off then? Five years of Shall Not Fade already? That's stellar work, considering the versatility and consistency of the output thus far. The label is celebrating this with the release of a compilation featuring a wonderful assortment of producers and music. We picked this track by Module One and Soela but they are all great.

Non Stop

-	Shell-shocked by a compilation of Chicago House that his elder brother gave him, music pupil Roman from Darmstadt became interested in electronic music.
-	Visits to Sven Väth’s Omen in Frankfurt and nights spent with Underground Resistance or Warp turned his whole world upside down. LFO’s bass still massages his stomach region to this very day.
-	The first demo tape is given to Jörn Elling Wuttke, who is thrilled and leaves his others bands to join forces in a project with Roman.
-	Together they pay a visit to Ata and Heiko MSO. The latter work as DJs and sellers in Frankfurt’s Delirium and can hardly believe their ears. They are delighted to set their A&amp;R activities (Ongaku, Klang) in motion.
-	For Holy Garage “Surprise”, which also appeared on Eye Q, they found the Playhouse label, later to become the flagship of the label triumvirate and one of the most influential labels in Germany.
-	Time flies in the nineties with working on the label and the success of the projects Alter Ego and Sensorama. Roman also does solo projects under the name Soylent Green, Eight Miles High, Ro 70, Roman IV and his real name. The spectrum ranges from nosebleed techno to delicate ambient and electro-pop tunes.
-	Sven Väth asks Alter Ego to be his producer.
-	Remixes for Daft Punk, Radio Slave, Primal Scream, Ricardo Villalobos, The Human League, Spektrum, Tiefschwarz, Baby Ford, Chicks On Speed, and many others.
-	Alter Ego beats all the records with “Rocker” and Roman provides a worthy successor with “Geht’s Noch!?”.
-	Live appearances all over the world and Roman becomes increasingly popular as a DJ. His sets comprise 20 years of rave in one breath of techno, house, Italo-disco and obscurities. It goes by the name of acid house.
