What is the meaning of a "Summer Hit"? For us is a track that you can not put into an EP with other tracks. The "Summer Hit" will eat all the others! Requires an special package, special cares and special vibes. And of course, we are talking about Summer, so we look for the perfect track of the season. Dancy, enjoyable, cheerful and very, very fresh. This year we have to say thanks to Purple Disco Machine and Teenage Mutants for giving us this outstanding summery track. Damn that's a happy song! Just listen to it and remember... It's all about the flutes! You will fall in love with that melody!

When we first learned we'd confirmed DJ T. to play our Desert Hearts Spring Festival, there was a collective shock of disbelief and astonishment that ran through all of us.  DJ T. had been one of our biggest idols for as long as we could remember, and now he was going to headline our desert festival which started from such humble beginnings. This was a "We made it..." moment for us.

As we started curating the flow of DJs for our 70 hour non-stop party, we only had one time slot in mind for DJ T. 

Sunday Sunrise.

In our eyes there is no better time slot at Desert Hearts than Sunday Sunrise. If anyone had the track record to create magic on Sunday morning, it was DJ T.. He was the sole choice to lead our moment of triumph.

It's been a while since Romboy dropped some new solo material but now he returns to his Systematic Recordings imprint for the fiery and chunky 'Elgur/Nasa' EP.

We have the first spin of A-side 'Elgur' and once again Romboy has presented a roller that acts as a workout as much as it does a piece of music. 

Thick basslines, a dark and heavy bass undercurrent and the sort of menacing drive you'd expect if Freddie Krueger was behind the wheel of a Ferrari. This is massive, glorious techno at it's best.

-	Shell-shocked by a compilation of Chicago House that his elder brother gave him, music pupil Roman from Darmstadt became interested in electronic music.
-	Visits to Sven Väth’s Omen in Frankfurt and nights spent with Underground Resistance or Warp turned his whole world upside down. LFO’s bass still massages his stomach region to this very day.
-	The first demo tape is given to Jörn Elling Wuttke, who is thrilled and leaves his others bands to join forces in a project with Roman.
-	Together they pay a visit to Ata and Heiko MSO. The latter work as DJs and sellers in Frankfurt’s Delirium and can hardly believe their ears. They are delighted to set their A&amp;R activities (Ongaku, Klang) in motion.
-	For Holy Garage “Surprise”, which also appeared on Eye Q, they found the Playhouse label, later to become the flagship of the label triumvirate and one of the most influential labels in Germany.
-	Time flies in the nineties with working on the label and the success of the projects Alter Ego and Sensorama. Roman also does solo projects under the name Soylent Green, Eight Miles High, Ro 70, Roman IV and his real name. The spectrum ranges from nosebleed techno to delicate ambient and electro-pop tunes.
-	Sven Väth asks Alter Ego to be his producer.
-	Remixes for Daft Punk, Radio Slave, Primal Scream, Ricardo Villalobos, The Human League, Spektrum, Tiefschwarz, Baby Ford, Chicks On Speed, and many others.
-	Alter Ego beats all the records with “Rocker” and Roman provides a worthy successor with “Geht’s Noch!?”.
-	Live appearances all over the world and Roman becomes increasingly popular as a DJ. His sets comprise 20 years of rave in one breath of techno, house, Italo-disco and obscurities. It goes by the name of acid house.
