Italy via Shanghai is the route taken for the debut E.P of Neapolitan producer Altieri, aka Eugenio Altieri. A designer living in Shanghai, Eugenio started to make music back in 2004, mixing music and visuals to create  his “weirdo production” sessions. After traveling east he founded the DesToys duo, a live project that channelled space disco and 80s commercial music.

Edo is a personal view over the modern Asia, Japan in this case. Inspired by the street sounds and bugged out day to day world of Tokyo his debut EP is four tracks of slippery head music. Chiseled from the deep seams of an intergalactic mine and informed by the dark heart of house and no wave disco this is club music from the oily underbelly.

After last week's video premiere of "Magnus Force", here's another extract off Alan Dente's debut EP "Dark Nebula". This time the LYO member delivers "Space Wanderer", a sweet and playful analog nu-boogie number which stands out with top-notch melodies.  The TR-707 and Juno 106 interact nicely, creating a groove and slowly building up a tension that gets released in the last two minutes of the track. The 12" is out next week on the tireless Bordello A Parigi, as part of a series which celebrates the label's fifth anniversary. Be quick!

Having entered a new phase of his career in 2014 propelled by a move to Brooklyn, the nomadic producer continues to develop a hugely impressive discography that’s included remixes for Herbert, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Funkadelic and MJ Cole as well as four full-length LPs and numerous EPs on labels such as Peacefrog, Planet E and Sonar Kollektiv. 

‘Honey Rocks’ brings together three deftly structured dancefloor tracks. All as jubilant and groovy as each other as Soul, Funk, Disco and classic House sounds are melded with ineffable flair and skill in a record that reaffirms Aus Music’s status as a label capable of not only maintaining consistency but also keeping listeners guessing.
