M-Phazes presents Camden Arc, his brand new side project exploring a different sound and direction for the ARIA winning producer. Camden Arc's debut release "I Don’t Wanna Fall in Love" takes Jane Child's original pop classic, and blasts her 90's era vocals into the future with a combo of hyped synths and thumping drums!
 
"I Don’t Wanna Fall in Love" is the first taste of this new passion project from M-Phazes, taking time out to experiment with new production techniques; blending them with inspiration drawn from the likes of Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Teddy Riley, DeVante Swing, Timbaland and a host of classic 90's RnB pioneers.

One of the first songs I ever made circa 2004. After I got my first job in Toronto I went nuts looking at organs and keyboards on Ebay. My first major purchase was a gorgeous vintage analog synth, the Eminent Solina F225. It was a beast!

I was in love forever. Sadly it was too big to make my next move and I had to leave it behind. 

This song is using the jazz voice which had the sickest percussive attack, vibrato, analog reverb and a killer rhythm section. I'm still super happy with it.

In a lot of ways this song outlines how I write music even today. I'm always obsessed with tweaking phrasing and this song runs through the same melody with a handful of different swings and phrasings.
