BEFORE SUNSET: This is a live DJ set from Cafe Del Mar in Ibiza, two hours before the sunset, so it's groovy and slowly winding down to the ambient stuff. It was recorded at the end of May this year, and DJed from the original booth in the old part of the Cafe, where the coffee machine used to be. As you can imagine it was an emotional, rather drunken and extremely beautiful evening, featuring new friends, old favourites, and that legendary Mediterranean light. The sunset hour is coming soon.

Over the years we have had the pleasure to develop a friendship with Rob Garza of Thievery Corporation. 

As huge fans of the group, a collaboration to have them play at Robot Heart at Burning Man was always a dream, if an impossible one.

This year at Burning Man, just in time for the inaugural Heart & Soul sessions from Robot Heart and Thievery Corporation's 20th anniversary, we finally had the honor of hosting Thievery Corporation on the Playa.  Three years in the making, the product of serendipity, determination and a lot of team work, here is that amazing, unannounced sunset performance at the Robot Heart camp before an audience of thousands of burners. Thank you Dave Geller, Elliot Dunwoody, Pascal Pharmacon and the 18-person team from Thievery Corporation for helping make our collective dream come true!

Dear listener,
finally this year, I managed to see the man burn!
In the weeks and months before Burning Man a lot of my friends kept on telling me how amazing it was and most of them would conclude their eulogy with something like: „Burning Man changed my life“.
Well, I can not certainly say that Burning Man changed my life, but what I know for sure is that my life changed afterwards ;-)
Very glad that I made it to this far away place and I hope to return next year.
I want to thank Lio and everybody at our nice camp and of course the robots who invited me to let their hearts beat according to my pace. It has been truly amazing. 
The only thing I really had to struggle with, that Sunday morning on the Playa, was the sunlight that made it almost impossible to spot anything on the display, so please please please you geeks out there, come up with something that can work in sunlight, because we all love the sun!

I was first introduced to Eduardo Castillo on the rooftop of the Standard Hotel this September at the Culprit Sessions Sunday afternoon/evening party. He was sharply dressed, well groomed and had a firm handshake. We didn’t really chat at the time, but I got the distinct feeling I’d be seeing more of him. A few moments later someone mentioned the after party would be held at his bar, Pattern Bar in downtown LA and as someone who’d not lived in Los Angeles since 2004, I was excited to see another example of the fast growing underground music scene in the City of Angels.
